The inmates in Arkham are irrational but there is still a logical pattern to their behavior and thought process, which the riddler is perfectly capable of unraveling. On the other hand, love can be so illogical that it requires more then just a methodical mind set to solve.

Pretty much Penguin, Nygma, and zsasz are what carried this show. They just outshined the heroes of the show.

@@HomelanderV - They were all great, but while the show was airing, Cameron Monaghan's Jérôme/Jeremiah was definitely the factor that got a looot more DC fans to tune in. Remember that the show aired between 2014-2019, which was before total "Joker fatigue", and when Jared Leto, whose Joker lots of people hated, and even those like me that didn't hate Leto so bad (Justice League Snyder Cut helped redeem him a bit later on) Mr Monaghan was "our live action Joker" and pretty much everyone loved him. Then *"Joker" (2019)* came out like half a year after *Gotham* 's 5th season ended, so he was never in competition with Phoenix. Anyway, there was always much more buzz for the show, even for casual viewers that didn't follow every arc of the show (nothing wrong with that, there are soooo many shows out there, you can't just watch _everything_ good on every genre and from every country... Even during season 1, Robin Lord Taylor had already proved he would likely make for a great Penguin, but it was the Jérôme Valeska episode that brought lots of hype on the show; the scene in which he's interrogated by Jim Gordon, while Lee Thomkins and the twins' father (Paul Cicero) just watch, and Monaghan's performance had a loooot of DC fans on every big platform (SuperHeroHype forum, ComicVine, Reddit, KZbin, etc etc). Cameron Monaghan is one of my favorite "younger" actors (he's 30, he's a baby in term of acting chops, he can only get even better) in big part for that. Loved him in "Shameless" too, obviously

He killed his gf w/his bare hands...not what I'd call nice. But I do admit he's a very awkward but charming guy,and one of my personal favorites..forensics fits him like a glove..you have to love mysteries and be really anal about observation and investigation. I'm going into psychology,and I thought about being a forensic psychologist bc the field of profiling is fascinating to me,but I'm not detail oriented enough..I'm more of a 'meh' person.

+Kelley Gaither I always got the feeling that it was 'the Riddler/EvilEd' who strangled Kristen Kringle because he always seemed to dislike the way that she spoke to "them". Plus she made Ed stronger and EvilEd weaker so getting rid of her allowed EvilEd to take control over their lives. If you go back and watch the scene where Kristen gets killed Ed seems genuinely surprised that she was dead - despite his background as a forensic pathologist. It was almost as though he hadn't even realised that his hand had been around her throat the entire time he had been begging her not to leave him and telling her that he'd never hurt her. Ed would never have hurt Kristin. But the Riddler would. And did.
