6:34 Day/Night system is REALLY COOL! I was worried about whether the story would take place in a single night like the Arkham games which would mean we never get to see daytime, so hearing we get to walk around the Belfry at day as Barbara, Dick, Tim or Jason is nice, and every time you go out into Gotham is a new night will make it feel like time actually passes normally, which is something a lot of games don't do, in Spider-Man PS4 I don't actually know the amount of days the game's story takes place over.

this is not a day night system, i love the game and day night cycle systems in other game. But this game has a hub world for crafting and story text that never goes outside a 2 story 4x4 cube basically. Other than that its all night time at all times. But in a fun way in my opinion, just not a clear explanation of this games systems. The "nights" you go on are just your excursions into a combat zone like avengers or even destiny, until the next night you start where it populates your map with "premeditated crimes".

These type of games with increasing % buffs in skill tree is boring. Mediocre at best. They should take a page from god of war skill tree where every single skill is a new move. And it has the axe set , blades set , shield set and rage mode set. On top of that , it had dozens of runic attacks.

I think this game will be ok. But I don't like how they did Red Hood. They made him a heavy/brute character because that's the standard when you have a multiple character team. The facts are, all of the knights are fast fighters with different styles. Other than that I'm not going to shit on it because I haven't played it. Just have to wait and see. But I think they should've maybe stuck with the arkham formula and built on that. It wasn't broken so I don't know. I'm going to definitely get it. Not day one though.

No lie, I hope we get a game where we get to basically live through the hero’s life (Batman Superman etc) in where we get to play as them during their secret identities persona, have a chance to do regular human shit, and be able to switch to super hero mode whenever. For Batman it would be different though; you would have to be Bruce Wayne by day and wait for a certain time of the evening to be able to suit up. Night time your batman, unless u decide to walk into the Wayne Manor or go visit his office/building. Also while playing as Bruce you would be able to drive and buy a whole bunch of fancy cars. Idk man just a thought 😅

I was never really excited about this , on one hand I think it'd be pretty badass to play Red Hood in an open world Batman game. Wow I never knew that. I just thought Red Hood was resurrected from the Lazarus pit. And I really didn't know Robin got powers too.That's why I always liked Batman because I always thought it was more grounded in realism sort of. Granted there's people using toxic chemicals to grow in size and strength. But Freeze built his equipment to freeze people he didn't just have powers. I guess now it's alittle more acceptable , but I preferred the Arkham approach is all.

If I'm being honest I don't have high hopes for this one but I'd like to be wrong. Its just recently most devs seem to always find a way to f things up. Also I think we've come to a point of stagnation when it comes to real advancement in gaming. These new systems are continuously being held back by the previous generation. I understand why but it still sucks that this far in they still haven't even really touched on what they can do. It just feels to me like even when I'm playing something like a masterpiece of gaming its still just more of the same. We greatly need something truly new in gaming. I'm not even super excited for Ragnoroc. I have no doubt it'll be good but it'll still be more of the same. A lot of people would say that thats a good thing seeing as how the first was amazing but for me I think it's not enough. I'll play it and probably enjoy it but it won't blow me away. I guess I'm jaded. I'm 40 and have been playing video games since the NES and back then up until maybe the early 2000's there were always new innovations in gaming whether it be new types of gameplay and worlds or jumps in tech but now I just don't see a good enough jump in graphics for the vaaaast majority of games that are coming and there hasn't been gameplay innovation in a long time. Unfortunately it'll still be a long time before enough consoles get out to the masses before devs will truly start making next generation games that actually utilize the power available. Personally I think its time now. I'm aware consoles are hard to get but how much longer are they going to wait?

@@TheNatimus I enjoy video games. I've just not been blown away by anything in a long time. I haven't played anything that didn't feel like more of the same. Thats not to say that those games weren't enjoyable, they were just more of the same. When's the last time a new genre in gaming came out? We have 2D side scrollers, first person, 3rd person, top down/ isometric etc. We have shooters, fighting games, racing, sports, point and click etc etc etc but all of them basically play the same way they did ten or more years ago. Now we have these new consoles with games that look last gen. Even the games that have been made specifically for current gen aren't anything to write home about graphically. Sure they look good but they could and should look so much better with the current hardware in these new consoles.i keep seeing all these presentations of what these systems are capable of currently yet no game thats come out to date has looked anywhere near what they've shown. Its been long enough that they should start making exclusively current gen games. I mean, at this point pretty much anyone who can afford one can at least get an Xbox series S. I see them on shelves all the time. Its just that compared to the leaps forward from console to console the difference is becoming less and less noticeable. Sure its great having really quick loading and downloading times but so far thats pretty much the only difference I've gotten out of the new consoles. Its a bit disappointing after paying for both PS5 and Xbox series S. I know it'll eventually get there but its just taking too damn long. Sure, I'm jaded. I've had a hard life and it made me very hard to impress but in a way reconnecting with video games helped save me so I'm definitely grateful for that but I also think that things in a way have stagnated when it comes to true innovation for gaming. There's been great games with great stories but even then its playing the same thing as a thousand games before it.

I think the game would have been better if you didn't get skill points for characters you weren't using. I'd have preferred that, as I'd then have had a reason to play through the story with them also. As it is now, it is really likely I will just play one, although it is true that you would still have to complete the challenges for each unplayed character. Also, I'd have preferred that you cannot play as the same character in co-op. Having two Bat Girls running around is just immersion breaking, so I'd have preferred that the host has first choice and the guest then has to choose their hero. Hopefully, there is an excellent end game, and DLC that brings in possibly more story and end game playable characters (Cat Woman, Harley?).

@@Me-bj4uf Very true. I'm not sure if the game has matchmaking. So far, I don't have a friend getting this game. Most seem to be waiting for reviews, and the first gameplay trailer didn't do it any favors. Probably someone I know will get it, but if it has a decent end game, I may need matchmaking and/or Reddit/Discord to team up. Only place it'll come up as an issue and also, sure, I can swap to a secondary. If it straight up disallowed it, it would force me to develop a second character. I likely will anyway, but as of right now, I'm really only interested in one.

WTF do you mean by the gotham knights are finding their footing ? Nightwing - the most veteran robin who was basically a perfected batman moved onto become his own hero , Redhood - another veteran robin who died and then returned as a what I would call batman but gets shit done. Batgirl - she been in the business since she was a teenager, from what her age seems here she is atleast 5 years into her career. The only person finding a footing is maybe tim drake. From where I stand, from all the gameplay and the numbers this is marvel's avengers but with DC and we all know how amazing avengers did.

@@markojovanovic586 Arkham Knight is not part of this story, it's a completely separate universe. In Arkham Knight it's heavily alluded to that Bruce faked his death and then carried on his fight against crime, but not as Batman. He created a completely new alter ego. In Gotham Knights though, Batman and Bruce Wayne are dead. Like dead dead. Not coming back dead.
