I’ve always told people from the very beginning to give this game a chance to be its own new thing without comparing it to the Arkham series, no one wanted to listen so they reviewed it and say it’s the worst of the Batman games… when it isn’t a Batman game. This game is a W.

it's because the arkham games were really good and now people expect all games in the same genre to be as good or very similar, witch is a crazy way of looking at it. It's like just because the mona lisa is (to some) the best painting ever, every painting that comes after is worthless and not enjoyable. And i find it even more crazy that people have this mentality about one of the only recent triple A games to come out with barely any bugs and no micro transactions.

I understand if people are mad about the 30fps thing, but they hated this game long before that was even announced and it started with them realizing Batman wouldn’t be a playable character and it wouldn’t be made by Rocksteady. If people wanna play Batman there’s literally 4 entire super long games for that.

I went into this game with a clear mind not expecting Arkham. Playing through it, I give it a 6.5/10. The world is beautiful, the side quests are varied, and I had fun with the bosses.. but the combat/animations are clunky, traversal sucks (except for batgirl), tramsmogs are weird, graphics and FPS could be emulated on a PS4, story was predictable and underwhelming (Bruce just died and the League of Shadows are in the game.. a toddler could do the math), and the enemies are more annoying than challenging (especially the enemy with the toy drones). I expected a lot more.

You must not fully understand the momentum mechanic when you are able to keep momentum with your combat it’s far from clunky a lot of people just aren’t creative or don’t react fast enough take it from someone who used to think it was clunky the first week I played until I learned

Yeah I don’t want to get this game just cus of it’s traversal. I didn’t expect it to be like Arkham but I did want it to be good regardless and I just can’t stand the way the traversal is in this game. And I agree w the combat and stealth. Ik there’s stealth in it but I still don’t feel emerged in it. In other games like Spider-Man you actually feel like him and I hate to compare this game to Arkham but Ik Arkham you actually feel like Batman and even w the Arkham challenges I feel like the other playable characters l. You feel scary and threatening, but in this game I just don’t feel like I’m Robin or any of them. I’m teleporting around and I have a 7ft vertical jump and that’s all I got to go from place to place. I get I can do takedowns and stuff but the only time I feel like I’m Robin is when I’m doing a finisher

comparing gotham knights to arkham knight is like comparing skyrim with elder scrolls online. theyre two completely different games from very different developers. this game was good. it wasnt great, but it was fun, enjoyable, and overall pretty satisfying. people just have too much expectation.

@@rezanurmohamed3326 no one hates gotham knights because of the Arkham series if they are true gamers people who feel that way are immature and brain dead the Arkham games have so many flaws coming from a big time dc, Batman, and Arkham fan the games are good but they weren’t the best games ever like people think they were the best games at the time I for one enjoy games going for different styles of gameplay while everyone else complains and makes big companies stop being creative and release the same game every year

Probably because you expected arkham. That’s not being fair to the devs who wanted to make something new and different. I think people would’ve said this game was amazing if it ended up being a Ninja Turtles game or something.
