Gotham Knights World Premiere Trailer Reaction

Meet the Court of Owls Gotham's oldest and darkest Villainous society. They rose in the 1700s but were beaten back and found a way to cryogenically remain alive. They returned in the modern day to Slither back into destruction. Now Gotham is different and the Knight must fight this old threat which are under new IDs. The group is now the Parliament of Owls due to their defeat and subsequent renaming. The lesser members are called Talons and the top guys are the court. In case no one else told y’all here’s an in-depth backstory on Jason Todd (Red Hood) Jason Todd was the 2nd Robin after Dick Grayson grew up and became Nightwing. He was an orphan with a temper and a record and was found by Batman when he caught him trying to steal the Batmobiles wheels. Bruce Wayne trained him and soon after he became the 2nd Robin he adopted him. Jason Todd is most known for being the the Robin who dies. For the first time DC held a fan vote to have Jason live or Die in the next comic to come out. The vote was 49% to live and 51% to die. This created the Death in the Family comic where Robin goes off on his own to fight Joker but is caught and captured. Joker then tortured and scarred Robin before blowing up the building he was in seconds before Batman arrived. For years Jason remained the Robin who died until in a new comic he was brought back with the Lazarus Pit (a pool of “magical” liquid capable of near immortality and reviving the dead used by Ra’s al Ghul) Jason woke from the Pit insane and for years he remained that way. When Jason regained his mind and saw that Joker was still up to his schemes and crimes he was furious Bruce had not killed him for taking him away. Jason then became the Red Hood an alias the Joker used before he became the Joker. He then went on a long hunt to kill the Joker while simultaneously killing every criminal in his path. Jason isn’t a Villain but he definitely isn’t a hero. He sees himself as and unhinged Batman who’s capable of doing more because he isn’t held back by a no kill rule. He despises criminals in every way. I won’t say the ending in case you guys want to check it out which I definitely recommend. Red Hood is definitely my favorite member of the Bat Family besides Batman himself. He feels so realistic and it’s super easy to relate to him. I’d really encourage you guys to check out the movie Batman: Death in the Family if you haven’t already. It’s incredible and tells the story really well.

This is Dick Greyson (nightwing), Jason Todd (red hood), Barbara Gordon (batgirl before the oracle change or after recovery), and Tim Drake the 3rd Robin which is why he wears the hood as his costume incorporates it. Damian Wayne does wear the hood he wears a separate cloak and hood combo. Steph brown wears a different batgirl costume letting her blonde hair flow or wears a purple cloak, Cassie Cain is the most striking as she wears a fully enclosed helmet having no visible eyes or mouth and is skintight. Cassie as Black Bat wore a completely different costume with a domino mask and taped arms but with a cape that looks like it was shredded and all the enemy sees is a ghost like entity darting shadow to shadow.

This honestly looks pretty dang solid. There's a gameplay trailer too, seems like some good stuff. Looks like the cast of Knights is going to be: Nightwing - Dick Grayson, the original Robin grown up and doing his own thing. Honestly an awesome character. Batgirl - Barbara Gordon, doing her crimefighting gig. I wonder if this is without Oracle ever happening, or if she recovered from her paralysis at some point? Red Hood - Jason Todd, the second Robin who was brutalized and left for dead by Joker and did a stint as a villain before going more edgy antihero. Robin 3.0 - I believe this is the Tim Drake version. Don't know much about him but he looks dope. And while I'm not sure what group the thugs are from in some of the trailer, the group at the end is definitely Court of Owls. I don't know much about them, but they're supposed to be a secret society type organization...kind of The Masons gone super hardcore. Like, hang out behind the scenes for centuries and craft world events through assassinations and the like. Might not be 100% accurate on that, but it's what I gathered from others talking about them. I've only played the first two games of the Arkham series, but they were fantastic. Kind of revolutionized the superhero genre of games, IMO...the free-flow combat style has found its way into a lot of other great games like Shadow of Mordor and the amazing Insomniac's Spider-Man PS4. Even Witcher 3 has a little bit of the same feel to the combat flow. Pretty sure Arkham Asylum did it first, though. I'm not even sure if it's the same studio behind this new one, but it looks like it's taking at least enough inspiration from those games to be the next step in awesome Batverse gaming. I'll have to keep my eye on this one! :)

If you look closely during the intro (around 2:08 here) you can actually see Barbara's wheelchair in the bottom left. Also, yes this is Tim Drake, the third Robin. He figured out that Batman and Robin were Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson respectively. When Batman was being his brutal self after Jason's death, Tim basically stepped up and told him that he needed a Robin. He's a great Detective, coming pretty close if not better than Bruce - who has admitted it a time or two before. He's a great Robin that has unfortunately been pretty trashed on by DC, I'm really excited to see what they do with him/all of them.

@@thatsaksyguy Ooh, good spot on the wheelchair. Guess she HAS gone through the Oracle phase and recovered. I think I remember hearing about that happening at some point in the comics, though my knowledge of stuff in DC print is pretty limited. A lot of "oh I've heard of that" but very little "oh yeah I know all about it!" And I'm excited to learn more about Tim Drake's Robin, too! He's the Robin I'm the least familiar with, though I can't say I know too much about Damien Wayne beyond his involvement in the Injustice games' storylines. Basics but not much else. With how troubled all the other Robins have been (Dick grew up but still, he had a rocky time at times), it's cool to hear about someone wearing the mantle who's well-rounded and suits the role so well.

Court of owls. Crazy awesome story. The Arkham series always does a fantastic job of including additional playable characters. Y'all should definitely Dd this to your play nights! Especially if Bethany is playing Batgirl. Also, on your other channel, if you haven't seen it, check out the Animated film, Red Hood. Je Sen Ackles did a Great job of Hood.

This game will have the team mechanic back from arkham. In certain scenarios you can do team moves. But its certainly one player. Much of Arkham's gameplay will be in Knights. Knights will be less open world though as they really aren't focusing on bruce as much. And Nightwing is a former Circus Acrobat so his moves don't surprise me much. Barbara is the brains of the operation, Jason is your medium to long range guy, and Tim is your tech type player messing up the board and inflicting status conditions.

I looked it up the game will be playable in coop I don't know how that will work but it's happening the game is designed for 2 players and it was officially confirmed you can play 2 player online but not couch so you have to have 2 consoles

I don’t have a PS5 yet, but I want one. And when I do get one, this will be one of the first games I plan on buying. I’m gonna be playing Red Hood and Nightwing almost exclusively. Also, that creepy room of coffins and the masked villains are a lesser known antagonist to Batman called the Court of Owls. They’re basically Gotham’s Illuminati, where nobody knows about them, but they control everything.

If robin has a good it's one of two characters either Tim Drake or Damien Wayne, because I don't see red Robin I'm going to assume to assume the current robin is Tim Drake often refered to as the smartest one among the bat family and an even better detective than batman Also this one is coop, robin has short range teleportation and I think Batgirl summons bats, idk what Nightwing and red hood do though And the people you saw the end were owls, i don't remember the name of their organization but they're a super old and super secret organization controlling Gotham from the shadows since before Bruce was even born.. like Gotham illuminati... They're also extremely dangerous

Congrats for 75k! ;) About a game, we only know thats single and co-op players but no one confirm to how many players. 2 for sure, and if could be for more to even 4 players we just dunno. So if someone have a doubts Robin is for sure Tim Drake not Damian Wayne, Tim is using Staff but Damian Sward. Also Red Hood is the only Robin who (in the comics) was killing bad guys so i really excited how his story looks like in the game and if he still killing. So the abilities we saw are only for a game was more fun for players to use and probably there will be a tree skill or sth and the skills are only imagination of the creators they are not take it from comics. Court of Owls - to be honest i do not even want you to tell you everything i know becouse that could be a spoiler to the game mistery. But like a kid said in a trailer "If you try to cross them, then the Talon strikes you dead." so Talon is like a professional assassin (best of them all) of whole Court of Owls. Thats why is so dangerous, becouse his like a copy of Batman. Also cannot wait for this game as a huge DC Fan ;)

Lot of people already explained all you need to know but oh boy finally a game with Batfamily, well without Bruce I can live with that. Seeing 4 members of the family starting to fill Batman boots is a huge task and even bigger if the villains are the Court, its even potrayted as such, Owls are predators who can hunt the bats. Me and my bro will 100% co-op this, him as Red Hood and myself as any of other 3 since I live playing as nay class. I hope this game will be great and maybe introduce more members of the Batfamily because its huge! Over 20 or maybe around 30 characthers every feeling unique. I hope this game has DLC to play as other members like Azrael, Huntress, Batwing and Spoiler. Whole batfamily puts that "I work alone" Batman to really be plain nonesense

You guys need to check out the "Arkham game series. Arkham City is a fantastic game. I'm definitely using the "NightWing because he has become an amazing hero and grown since being a former "Robin. It’s confirmed to be 2 players only. Fingers crossed for some sort of 4 player challenge mode though.

It kinda fits that all the sidekick characters were a bit more flashy as they were always meant to be a distraction while batman worked the as the ambusher. If you ever want a really interesting take on the joker check out the what if story called Batman the white Knite.

The one with Joaquin Phoenix? We saw it and while it was a good movie. We didn’t love it like everyone else did. Maybe it was too hyped up by time we saw it. But certain things we didn’t like were that they made Jokers laugh involuntary tick. Like Tourette’s syndrome. But think it’s more menacing if he is laughing because he is a sociopath and doesn’t understand emotions like happiness and laughter (kind of like in Batman Dark Knight) or if he laughs cuz he enjoys killing people like a psychopath would (more like Jack Nicholson in tim Burtons Batman). 🤗
