If martial arts had ELO's, Levy would be about a 500. Why is that? Because as he likes to say to others, "He's just throwing out words." A gogoplata is in fact a choke using your shin up against their neck and pulling their head toward the shin. He said foot choke which is an inaccuracy, but it's not bad either. Why would Levy be a 500? Well it's because you don't need to know how to shoot a takedown. In fact, you need to be taken down onto your own back in order to perform this choke. You will need to transition yourself into a special guard called "The Rubber Guard" to perform it. It is so complicated to do that no UFC fight has ever ended by one. Meaning if someone did ever win by Gogoplata, they would have to be the Stockfish of UFC, or at least a Magnus equivalent that got lucky.
