One thing I've noticed starting out in the low ranks is that a lot of people don't know how to checkmate and just expect you to resign. I've danced my lone king around the board until the clock ran out a few times because of it. So at low ranks at least, I never resign. There's a pretty good chance I can run out the clock or force a draw.

I think G3 at 05:45 is to avoid back rank mate, I am 800~ and a lot of times I straight forget backrank mates because I am crushing the opponent on the other side, so I have straight up started pushing a pawn as soon as I castle. Since white pushed G3 right after Castling I think that is the most probable reason. And Yes, I was able to guess that because I make those garbage moves...

Endgame tip for 700s: if you have a rook and they have a rook and pawns, sac your rook for all the pawns. Because your 700 opponent doesn't know how to mate with king and rook, so it's a draw. If they mate you after using some time, report them for cheating, and gain back your elo.

Black luring the king into a king-queen fork is like pushing a villager in Minecraft to get it to your trading area.

I really like your coverage of low elo games, it's both entartaining and educational. I sympathize with these players, there's sometimes only one winning move and I and my opponents tend to make blunders in those endgame moments.

I wish that king walk out to a queen fork was actually seen and not obliviously encountered because it was quite a sequence.

I feel like a genius when i'm watching this. Also, it's actually impressive how they made a draw with only two kings on the board. Haven't seen a draw like that.

That is actually not too rare kind of draw in chess when draws are not offered and accepted.

"noobs put pawns in the center and forget out them." That really hits home. had a recent game and towards end after a bunch of trades i was left with 2 passed pawns in the center as the front edge of a 4 pawn chain. I was only looking at my pieces and trying to find a way to attack. Couldn't find anything for the life of me because my pawns were in the way. Got up to grab another beer, came back and sat down - and it was like someone slapped me in the face when i saw my obvious moves.

5:30 , As a noob whose been mated more than i should be on the back rank by a rook because my king was covered by pawns after castling, i do that pawn move to prevent that kind of checkmate.
