Its why I dont see Superior Spider-Man happening He wasnt lying in the first game when he said Peter's secret is safe with him

I agree he definitely wouldn't tell anybody else, but not because I think he still cares for peter, but because revealing peter's identity would mess with Otto's plan, if he does plan to have peter's identity revealed it would be when he's out of prison and can control the situation as it escalates, I don't think Otto still cares for peter because he blames him for his current situation, not just being behind bars but also taking his arms, which are invaluable to him, because of that most of the hate Otto held for Norman was transferred to Peter (in the first game Otto blamed Norman for a lot of the troubles he faced), he still hates Norman but less so than in the first game. Also another factor that reduces the amount of hate Otto held for Norman was that he can relate to him now to an extent, because now both of their lives have been "ruined" by the Spider-Men.

I don't think they're gonna do Superior Spider Man for 2 reasons #1: Insomniac stated that the reason they didn't include the Black Suit in the first game is that they wanted to devote time and focus to doing that suit, and the story around it, justice. Similarly I believe they said at one point (I think before the game came out) that it'd omit Miles suit because it was being saved for when Miles became Spider Man. With this in mind, the fact that the Superior suit is included in Spider Man 2 would, by established logic, suggest they don't see the need to save the Superior suit for the 3rd game, indicating that they don't intend to use the storyline. #2: Spider-Man 2 gives us an epic, emotional battle between Peter and Miles because of the symbiote, from a gameplay perspective it would feel a little like just repeating the same formula to do Superior Spider-Man, just without Miles trying to reach out to him 'cause Peter isn't in there.

Well they obviously would create their own unique Superior Spider-Man suit. Otto created the Advanced Suit, so his Superior suit would be an updated version of that. They aren't going to use an unlockable suit in the actual canon story of the game.

i dont think its going to follow the same formula because if peter and otto were to switch minds, otto would have the memories of peter and understand why he does what he does. since otto is smart it would follow the story beats of what's the right thing to do vs whats the smartest thing to do. yes it may follow the kill vs spare rule. in this game we see the positive aspects of sparing a villain and giving them a second chance but what if this motif gets further pushed in spider-man 3 where you see mostly negative aspects of what sparing a life can do and how a second chance only allows them more opportunities to hurt people. also i dont beleive that peter parker would stay as peter parker since otto said it is going to be the final chapter. the final chapter he is refering to may be peter parker's story not miles, it would poetic if he took down the villian he helped create in the first game

Seeing as how Insomniac didn’t put the symbiote suit in the first game, purely because they were planning on using it in the sequel, I doubt they’ll do the Superior Spider-Man arch in the next game, since the Superior Spider-Man suit is in this game

@@pio1483 I feel like the reeason why almost every Spidey is on Miguel's side is the information given to them (plus Miguel's experiences with canon events). All of them were told that if these events were prevented then everyone within a universe would be killed and so they are presented with a moral dillema, save the one person you care about or save everyone else. Due to the selfless nature of Spider-Man as a whole, I think they chose to save everyone else. Plus it gives them comfort knowing that the suffering they are going through and the loved ones they lost ultimately serve a greater purpose. Deep down, I feel like every Spider-Man wants to help Miles but they can't risk something so great.

By the math alone saving the city instead of just May is exactly what most variants Spider-Man should and would do, bc they’re saving more people and they know some sacrifices have to be made. in regards to Point 4: I feel like you forgot that the sidemissions in the first game led up to the DLC missions. The Flame and Unidentified Target missions set up the DLC, not the third game. the 3rd game set up was in the main story, so Cindy's set up will be in the DLC, or a mid-game like Miles' standalone title, if not in the 3rd game.

I think Chameleon is more likely to be DLC than the continuation of "the Flame" storyline. Evidently, they're going to introduce Carnage. And if Venom deserved a spotlight in the main campaign, I feel like Carnage does as well. It'd be difficult to REALLY do Carnage justice in some DLC packs. If Insomniac is even doing DLC this time around.

So we dont know exactly WHEN Peter finds out about Spider Society, its possible he’s been there since he found out and hasnt had a chance to tell Miles. It never says Miles isnt meant to be Spider-Man in any canon universe, just that specific one from the movie. And that theory is still off since Miles had other canon events, and neither his universe or Earth-42 started to collapse

In this universe Doc Strange has never really needed a reason to team up or ask Peter for help But now The doors are open Also I think their doing the Superior Spider-Man story as well but I think they could pull a Spider-Man life story And have it be Miles who Gets his body stolen Otto probably wants Peter to suffer by taking his proteges body and making him feel how he felt. I doubt they’d do the Superior storyline. For one, they made sure not to have any symbiote suits in MSM1 bc they wanted to save it for this one, but they put the Superior suit in this game; if they were doing that storyline next game, they’d likely follow the same principle and and save the suit for that one. For another, personally I really doubt they’d have enough time to set up, accomplish, and resolve that Doc Ock takeover in the space of one game. Unless maybe they establish the set up and maybe even takeover in a DLC before the next game

Back during the clone saga, the first time Marvel did a symbiote invasion. The venom symbiote shrieked (due to Brock wanting the symbiote to leave him) and was like a beacon for other symbiote to come to earth. There was a page where some of the Avengers were taken by the symbiote, but neither Spider-Man or Scarlet Spider had to face the venomized heroes. So, some of the heroes in New York could have been taken in game, but Pete and Miles just didn't know and/or faced them cause the invasion was like two days at most, storywise.

One thing I want to add about the avengers not being in the game especially with an alien invasion. So I think that line from the first game about them being in the West Coast was referring to the Avengers game cause they were in the West coast in that game and since Spider-Man was a playable character in that game for PlayStation users, my guess is it was supposed to be the insomniac Spider-Man and it would’ve been a crossover putting the two in the same universe; but when the avengers game flopped insomniac wanted nothing to do with the avengers game and cancelled the crossover and the two being in the same universe. There’s not a lot of evidence to support this theory but I think it’s a valid one. Plus in the remastered version of the first game the line about the avengers in the west coast was removed and Spider-Man who was supposed to be playable for avengers in January of 2021 got delayed to December of that year and when he did his storyline was have finished in terms of cutscenes and gameplay missions, so could this have been because they had to change the Spider-Man in Avengers because insomniac changed their minds, cause they covered their tracks in the Spider-Man games by removing the line but left the tower in cause it’s cool of because they didn’t know if to redesign it or not

I pretty highly doubt they're gonna wait to use Carnage as one of the main villains in Spider-Man 3, or even just as a little side thing since Carnage is a headlining threat. They wouldnt make SM2 be about a symbiote threat and then make SM3 also be about a symbiote threat, but there are already symbiotes in SM2 so it would be much easier to make him a main threat of SM2 DLC. And the promise of Carnage would surely make the DLC more popular than a lesser known character. They havent really set anything else up in SM2 that would be appropriate for a DLC storyline besides Chameleon and Carnage. Green Goblin or Doc Ock's return would surely be reserved for a sequel that ties off a trilogy. It's possible Carnage and/or Chameleon could return in SM3 in a villain ensemble, but most likely they set up these characters the way they set up Black Cat and the Maggia in SM1, so they can appear in DLC that continues the story shortly after the events of the game. Chameleon is tied to Kraven and Carnage is tied to Venom so it only makes sense.

Not entirely sure why Insomniac decided to throw Cindy Moon into the mix. I mean... it'd definitely be cool to play as a female Spider person, but I think three is a bit much for these video games. Unless, of course, Peter is going to take more of a mentor role going forward... which doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Temporarily taking time off? Sure. Permanent retirement? Dunno about that. It'd be a hard sell to couch Peter in favor of Cindy.

Obviously this won't be an issue with insomniac spider-man as with all the crossovers hes been in, the writer of the video games (don't remember who, but just search this up) states that they're canon to the video games but knowing when it takes place can be confusing as the writer doesn't really state when these crossovers happen during the events of the 3 spider men games.

Yeah this is just one of those "Superman stays out of Gotham" tropes of it being a Spider-man game and they don't wanna bring in a lot of other heroes.. and it's not like before the MCU made comics way more popular.. back then they could pop up and it just be a cool thing, nowadays if they show up people will assume a lot more lol And I feel like the "they are never around" thing is also a nod to just it being a video game and again, they can't just casually show up without it being a big deal.. but honestly them having a lore reason of "they have existed for awhile already and just aren't in New York" kinda makes me now question.. where *are* they stationed typically in the Insomniac universe? Silk.. is it weird I think they could make it that the spider she gets bitten by is same as Miles? Just to keep with the "share a spider bite" part of the origin.. but like.. they probably won't give her electricity of course.. but maybe Peter will get to comment that he got the short end of the straw with powers lol (Mile's electricity and camouflage and then presumably Cindy's organic webs and maybe something else so she stands out with some flashy thing like Peter's tech/symbiote powers from this game) I doubt we would be getting Superior Spider-man since Otto still respects Peter and I doubt he would just wanna.. steal his body.. he isn't full blown megalomaniac as far as I know.. he still has some humanity and it'd be just weird if they pulled that in a third game (if Silk is involved too) since then it would almost be like introducing 2 new playable Spider people and that just seems like it would be too much if you had 3 total.. like having 2/3 being new styles of fighting, and none being the classic Spidey.. I doubt they would pull that... even if they do love tweaking origins and having their own continuity.. plus Otto didn't seem to be on his deathbed.. just tired and imprisoned BUT I do have an interesting idea... a side game like Miles' game... something that is in the interlude to do.. one of the many plot points they have set up from this game... like I know people may hate me for saying this but maybe handling Carnage in his own side game since.. this game was the dealing with symbiotes and it'd be weird to just have the very next main game just.. deal with another symbiote issue.. like we could even have Cindy start out much like Miles did in his game and then segue into an Insomniac Spider-man 3 (now honestly.. Carnage *is* a bit of a big thing to have Cindy deal with being fresh to the hero scene but I think they could work it out)

The Avengers are actually helpful in the comics most notably Marvel Knights Spider-Man they (The Avengers) get Daredevil and The Fantastic Four to help Spider-Man with the Sinister Twelve. There’s other occasions where they helped Spider-Man fight the spider slayer in big time and in return of the Sinister Six (1990).

If the next game is a Miles Morales centric game, then maybe Peter is missing because he’s involved in the Spider Verse. Maybe he shows up in the next Miles game, after joining the Spider Verse. Maybe they incorporate the Spider Verse in the next games somehow beyond a Spider Bot type of side quest.

Impossible, Taskmaster is too good to be tracked by Kraven as a simple prey, and he is good enough to escape at any time if his studies of his opponent are not enough to win Furthermore, he is an international assassin, the chances of him being in NY at the moment are 0 (he only appeared on the radar because he was there in the first game)

Actually, both the Spider-Verse movie and the Insomniac games are unconnected, and I’ll explain why. 1. Continuity when it comes to multiverse shenanigans and adapting source material is one hell of a headache. You think having a numerical filing system would be useful, but no. You get instances where in the comics the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon Spidey helps Miles Morales, but doesn’t know who he is. This would make sense, but in the season where Disney rebranded it into USM: Web Warriors and introduced Miles to the cast, they don’t know each other. So either this is a different Miles, or continuity could suck an egg. Something similar could be said with Into the Spider-Verse, where they establish everyone as their comic book universe designations (Peter B is 616, Miles is 1610, Gwen is 65, etc.) Normally this would be an open-shut case, but NOPE! In the 1610/Ultimates universe, Spidey dies at the hands of Green Goblin, not Kingpin. In Across the Spider-Verse we meet the Spider-Society, housed in Miguel O’Hara’s home of Nueva York. In the comics there is no Spider-Society. The 616/Main universe Peter never has a kid with MJ, and yadayadayada you get it. There’s also the small hiccup that we got MULTIPLE UNIVERSES CLAIMING ITSELF TO BE ANOTHER UNIVERSE. The MCU claims to be Earth-616, but it’s actually Earth-199999. There’s also the Spider-Verse Movie 616 with Peter B, but that can’t be because 616 is the comics universe where Peter doesn’t have Mayday. 2. In the movie Miguel’s AI (her name escapes me at the second) refers to 3 video game guys, one including my boi Lowenthal two Green Goblins. When Miguel’s AI says, “Another Video Game guy…” Lowenthal reacts with, “Are you referring to me?” It obviously is a joke, but that does open up a lot the question of why doesn’t the PS5 Spidey know he’s in a game and having an existential crisis? Look. I could go on and on, but I would be wasting my phone battery and everyone’s time. Apologies for all typos, my thumbs are enormous.

I don’t think we’ll see Superior for the same reason we didn’t get the black suit in SM1. If Insomniac was going to do Superior, we wouldn’t have gotten the suit as a skin in SM2

I’m confused, is the free roam in the game after the post credit scene? You’d think that any mission where you go inside Miles’ would reference Cindy or her dad but I played the mission where you get all the Prowler starches, but nothing. I’m guessing free roam doesn’t exist in the campaign or something, and the Moon family is something in the main campaign, so idk.
