Everything seems reasonable but I could argue with the statment that so called ,,Khorinis Orcs" are stronger than the mainland ones. Haven't you noticed that in Gothic 3 nameless hero starts the game with both str and dex equel to 100. In both G1 and G2 with these stats you could deal a decent damage to most of the orcs, while in third even with the 60 damage sword which specilizes against orcs you still need blow 5-6 swings to defeat Orc scout. Moreover, in mainland they use arenas not to rust their skills while in control of most Myrthana, use grindstones to test their strenght, while in Khorinis they rather guarding, scouting, beating drums at most :D Anyway I'm happy about videos like these, there are almost non of them, or only in Russian, Polish or German. Because of this Gothic community is still active and is able to work further creating broader storyline. I hope more modders will recognize You :)

I wish G3 didn't happen, it ruined the mystery and threat of the orcs, they worked better as an unknown force that is brutal and has unknown motives, in G3 they're just a hairier version of an occupying human army, it had so much potential at the end of G2 with xardas and finally seeing myrtana

I agree. Though honestly I suppose what annoys me isn't the retconning in of itself, it's that the new explanation and working it into the existing canon is... difficult to say the least. If there was at least one Khorinis-Orc in Gothic 3 to bring some kind of cultural conflict or dilemma into it, or even if it's just finishing up Ur-Shak's storyline, then I think I wouldn't mind so much. But as it stands, the "mainland orcs" only exist to justify a new artstyle and to avoid any possible conflicts with the established lore, moving them "out of the way" by simply saying "yep, they're banished". However, I think there is a lot of potential in the idea that there are two major tribes, not on the friendliest terms, who might go to war with each other after conquering their main enemy. Frankly, that was the hardest part about making this video, actually finding real differences between the Khorinis- and the Mainland Orcs, because the Khorinis-Orc-Culture was almost copied over 1:1 (in addition to a species-language-update). Ultimately, it's always coming back to Gothic 3 being unfinished in every aspect. :(
