I think gothic hardcore can be appreciated so much because of how diverse it is. It utilizes elements present in most genres if you think about it.

The spirit of Gothic Animes and the adaptation to the Happy Hardcore Techno sound of a typical Symphonic Metal way of composing. Only Japanese could do this. I love how they never fear to go on projects that should be ridiculous on paper and by working seriously on them always succeed to make them great.

if you say "hardcore" in the context of goth, when goths stem from hardcore punk which is frequently abbreviated to just "hardcore" instead of "hardcore punk" you're to signaling anyone who knows the history and or is part of gothic or punk subcultures that its going to be some sort of gothic hardcore punk. just wanted to let you know :)

I can see what you mean. I've seen some people question that in my first gothic hardcore mix and I gave a short explanation as to why gothic hardcore has no relation to goth culture. I can see the confusion since some people assume gothic is going to lead back to goth culture. In reality, gothic hardcore is just built on the ideas of traditional gothic music with gothic chord progressions, semi-tone changes in the leads and the use of ambience such as church bells, choir voices, bells (glockenspiel), and music boxes. Those elements could also be used for leads as well. It's all related to the old middle ages gothic music rather than current goth culture with the addition of hardcore edm elements. The use of hardcore is a broad term as well so I can see how that adds to the confusion as well. Like I said, I can see what you mean from your comment and it's understandable how you can see it that way.

You could always just call it gothic speedcore if you want to get around this for anyone that is wondering.
