Good story; better than a lot of similar content on YT. I like how the action takes place in a time that is ambiguous; seems to be both in the past and the future simultaneously.

Thanks for your comment - I do put a lot of effort into my stories, so it is wonderful to receive such praise. I do prefer to allow the reader/listener to imagine when the story may take place.

Applause to you for this short story. It lacks graphic violence and gore, the stock and trade of so many tissue paper efforts, devoid of even a small hint of art much less imagination. In place of these common crutches used to prop up a weak narrative you give the audience fair value for turning aside to listen to what you have written. Again, applause to you.

An unusual and original story idea ! Are you aware of the phrase : "Genius Loci "? Look it up if not. " The Imperial " could be the location of an entire story collection..? How many tragedies took place in its rooms and corridors....?.
