Draper's Memphis crew deserve MADD respect & props. His band was KILLING the game. They were definitely one of, if not THE BEST, during their time. They helped TREMENDOUSLY to make sure his live presentations were second to NONE. They played as UNIT & they were CONSISTENT. They jammed EVERYTIME Draper & his "Associates" hit. Some of the world's greatest musicians come out of Memphis. #TrueStory #GiveItUpForTheBANDInTheHouse! #ThatMemphisSound

I am from Memphis TN and I know he has had some of the baddest musician's to play for him that ever came out of this city. That was Donald Hayes (With hair) playing sax. Keith Bethany (A.K.A) George Benson, on lead. Jackie Clark (A.K.A.) Man with the GOLDEN EAR, he played bass for him at one time. And let us not forget Derick Jackson, one of the best organ players in the world. Who went on to be the late Bishop G.E. Patterson personal Keyboard player. Sure brings back great memories. 7/29/2021.

A lot of songs during the best gospel era of the 90's would slip in elements from R&B songs and they would go great with the song too! Check out "Coming Again So Soon pt.1 & pt.2" by Twinkie Clark and the FAMU Gospel Choir and see which song you hear during the breaks (Hint: he wrote a lot of songs in 95-96)

Well, you would have been mad at David too then. His wife had a complaint when David danced out of his clothes. David’s reply to her was “if you think I am undignified now, just wait a while. I will become even more undignified than this.” I knew O’landa Draper, I had the pleasure of working with him. He loved praising God and he was serious about his members singing and praising God. You don’t know what any one person has gone through up there. You may see worldly and God may see praise. Eyes have not seen nor have ears heard, Heaven is going to be lit beyond comprehension.
@gregorywillis84002 жыл бұрын
@@pamobs3796 That’s what the enemy have perpetuating in the body of Christ! The Lord had prophets with different deliveries, but the same Goal for God. I’m not gonna quote all the scriptures relating to my premise. You know the Word. I know so many people who love praise but don’t love the Lord. Obedience is what it’s all about and for me too! The average man you hear in gospel music is gay on the radio. That’s a abominable state in church now. God reveals and the enemy exposes! It started with Thomas Dorsey, James Cleveland on down……. I can name almost an hundred men in the industry!! And women too. That’s Orlando’s Achilles heal. I pray he repented before he pass. Thankyou for the response. God want people to stand up against sin not flow with it..
@priscillagarrett3258 Жыл бұрын
Okay but if you actually listened to the words you would have heard the message not just the music. Plus, you see those church mothers movin' you know nothing is wrong. And David was one of God's servants so you cant come for him for praising God. And you dont know everyone so you dont know who loves God and praising God.
@dogood17852 ай бұрын
Be not deceived. Our thoughts are NOT The Most High’s thoughts, neither are our ways, HIS WAYS. What you think is praise and worship is NOT praise and worship to the Creator, the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. The LORD has STANDARDS, rules, and regulations. HE said, OBEDIENCE is better than sacrifice. Majority of those people in that choir, even the director probably lived how they wanted to live, ungodly. People are people, whether rich or poor, famous and leaders or not...many of them in the so-called "church" (buildings made by man) engage in same-sex relations which is an ABOMINATION, fornicate, and are adulterers and idolators. Now, I am not casting any stones, nor judging anyone for how they CHOOSE to live, it's their choice. However, we seriously need to learn to discern between HOLY and profane, and understand--GIFTS come without repentance. The True and Living GOD: The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob (Is'ra-el) is HOLY. He is calling us all to repentance and holiness (godliness), and He said, you must be born again. We are to be holy, not "worldly or fleshly." Moreover, we are to fear and reverence Him, and OBEY His commandments, statues, and judgments. Thank GOD we can repent and turn from our sins, and be born again; Salvation is truly a blessing, HalleluYAH!!! REPENT: for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand (is near). The GREAT KING, JESUS CHRIST (YESHUA MESSIAH), is coming! Shalom.
