That is a ridiculous play. I was watching it on TV when it happened and thought it was a slick move when it happened. This is the first time I got to see what he actually did. I just thought he deked him. What a great goal!

This is his version of "angry MacKinnon". You can see he is absolutely tuned in. In game 1 he burst out in the biggest celly of his career (ik lol) and here he redeems his bad penalty with this goal. You can see in his eyes when he's on the bench that he's determined to win the cup and do whatever it takes.

Barkov's was better, he committed more on the fake and waited patiently for the opening. giroux was speeding and barely faked it but because of the speed coming in the goalie was still fooled, Barkov did it without the speed, put it farther behind his legs, dragged it back farther to the front, and had to patiently wait for the kill. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6iod2ame92detk

@@pale_saint Very little. And what links do exist are mostly from northwestern Russians having Finnic ancestry rather than the other way around. Russia has had surprisingly little impact on the Finnish population considering the history. Barkov obviously has Russian ancestry but I consider him a Finn through and through. He has all the qualities we consider virtues among Finns and none of those we dislike among Russians.
