is it dangerous getting inside the boat ?. do they harbour the boat towards the shore . Once we got inside a yeat before , inside a house boat , where the boat was a bit towards in da water and we stretched our legs to get inside the boat , below which was 5 metre deep water . scared . ..

I am a native of Alleppey and what I can say is that there are nearly a thousand house boats in Alleppey itself.2 bedroom,3 bedroom, double decker etc. All of them are safe for women and children. The rate depends on whether it is season or off season.The food provided are also top class.

yeah true...kochi is far from Allepey. Title should be renamed. Had been here last Nov. Allepi town is also good which one can go for a roam when the boat rests during evening onset.
