Just a suggestion : You are doing a food show ! Please do some homework/research on the type of cuisine you are going for. At 6BP, the presenter introduces the dishes as if they are uncooked ingredients (dal, fish, chicken, mutton ) !!! You need to name the dish and what's special about it. How is it different from other Indian cuisines ? What's the special touch in that particular regional cuisine ? Unless, you do that, it sounds amateurish. You can go to Goa, Kerala and Bengal and say its fish. Ofcourse, its fish. But you need to bring out what's special in each style of preparation.

mayukh choudhury Thank u for your feedback but this is not a food show its a travel show. And Im no expert just a traveller sharing her experiences :)

This is not a food show this is just the advertisements of restaurants. But yeah if they cannot describe the dishes they should at least name them properly, each and every dish
@satya4309 жыл бұрын
+mayukh choudhury You certainly have a point here . The host of the show does go to relevant places and it would hugely add to the material of the show if she presented some more interesting information about the dishes. Maybe some history, something that makes it stand out from similar dishes from other bits of India, peculiarities, generic trivia etc. AND its ";Egg-Roll " & not "Kathi Roll" ( while in Kolkata ) !
@sammylava9 жыл бұрын
+Satyaki Chaudhuri why would you call it an egg roll if it's got chicken in it? Egg-chicken roll maybe. God I love the rolls at Kusum's on Park street. Trincas too

Hey! Ballygunj Palace seems to be a nice place. I'll try it the next time I'm there. Btw, 2 places I would like to suggest the next time you visit Kolkata are: 1) Aminia - for Chicken chaap and Aminia special 2) Das Cabin - for Mughlai paratha and Kulfi Ugh, your videos make me miss my city, where the stomach is without fear and the food is held high! Thanks for the food-ness. Bon Appetit!

Great show! Gotta point out though that you got that wrong about Hakka Chinese being 'Indian chinese'. It's not. Hakka Chinese are the people who primarily immigrated to India during the early years of the Japanese invasion (prior to WW2). China is bigger than India, so you can't expect the whole country to have similar food. Ergo, not all chinese food is bland. The region that the hakka han people belonged to is closer to India geographically, and Indian influence over the years may have influenced certain "Indian-isms" to their food, that's all. So, hakka food is typically spicier than 'bland chinese'. Having said all this, the Kolkata chinese have also been around for a while now and the food at many of these eateries has adapted somewhat to suit the Indian palate. You get much more authentic hakka food the deeper you venture into Chinatown! Happy hunting!

Weird, Why do some Indians pretend like they are Europeans with Indian english accent - and roam around the same Food cuisine everywhere, at every state - same Dal Chawal Roti Mutton Chicken Biryani or gravy and masala panir, lol.

+chirohoryt A lot of Indians don't have a typical Indian accent! And you clearly haven't watched all our videos if you think we eat the same food everywhere.
