Gotye - Down There Too

Last December, I found this little EP he put out way back in 2002. Seeing as it wasn't on KZbin yet, I decided to share it in case anyone was interested. I do not own this.

Why oh why won't he perform these? His early stuff is amazing (although I'd prefer his vocals over the guests on Boardface, despite how hauntingly beautiful they turned out). Thank you SO much for putting these up...it's like finding a secret piece of Gotye that only a few know exist.

Gotye, unlike many contemporary musical artists, doesn’t need Auto-Tune to sound incredible - his natural voice is that of an angel 😇

He involves a number of guest vocalists on Boardface, however this definitely sounds like him. His voice is running through a vocoder or some other form of vocal processing. Unless you're referring to the intermittent female vocals, which is likely just a sample.

This sounds SO similar to 'Teardrop' by Massive Attack. I think he might of even used samples from the song in this.

It's definitely similar, and there are a lot of samples here, but I don't think he directly sampled Massive Attack.
