Mainstream music has needed an overhaul for a long time. Since the birth of Mtv we've seen all the musical styles come and go without a great deal of originality (with maybe a few exceptions). Gotye is one of those exceptions. The great thing about this particular act is (unlike most artists) this guy seems to focus more on the product- rather than appearances or maybe a new dance move. For so long, the mainstream music industry has focused on fashion over talent. This Gotye act is talented and relevant. As a musician myself, I recommend Gotye for all generations of music lovers to enjoy because this man is rare and you can tell that he spends a lot of time creating his music. Great stuff★
