I re-edited this video so there is no overlap of audio.
This painting is not a tutorial because it is a study of an American artist’s painting from the Detroit Institute of Arts. A Sunset After the Storm painted in oils by Francis Jasper Cropsey was painted in 1860. It took some liberties with the foreground and brightened it up.

With all the editing I had to do to stop the overlap of audio I ended up losing some things. For those of you on the medical field wondering about my Troponin and BNP levels. The troponin was extremely high and my bnp which should be below 100, was at 4000!

Oh, Sharon, what a mess! Not the painting… that is beautiful! God was truly with you!! Had you not been knowledgeable, you would have died and no one would have been blamed when they should have been!! Thank God you are alright and recovering nicely. I’m sorry about your heart… I also had a MI in 2020… so, I understand. Please take care of yourself!🙏🏻💕

One of the things we were always taught during nursing training is that we need to consider the patient’s self instinct - they usually know when something is not right and thankfully most of our doctors listen to them. Bless you and hopefully that’s the end of that nightmare1

Exactly! And at the second hospital I went to they listened to me.

Sharon I am glad you are still with us. That is really scary. That is really a troubling situation. You never know what is going to happen with doctors, nurses , anyone when there is an emergency. At least you knew how to handle it with being an RN. I am overjoyed that you are on the mend. So sorry you had to go through that trauma. And your painting is so amazing. Rest and take care of yourself. Prayers to you and your poor husband. See you next time. Give Tully a hug from me. 😊❤

Ha. I was so proud of myself. But it wasn’t the first thing I did. I had been increasing my exercise over a few weeks.

Love the painting, love you. God bless you Sharon. I wish I had the medical knowledge you have, my biggest fear since I'm totally alone is being under the care of Drs and nursing staff who do not take their jobs seriously. My friend just lost her father because they gave him a med he was allergic to and was clearly marked on his chart. So glad you're feeling better.

Thank you. Oh dear God that is horrible. Even being in the medical field while I knew enough I couldn't always think straight. Like not even thinking about infection or fever. Pretty basic for me but I was too out of it. Hopefully there's not a next time. But with shortages in the medical field it is only getting worse. 🙏

So so sorry you had to got through all that. Wondering if a bigger/better hospital to start out with could have avoided some of the complications. Wishing you a full recovery ! I have to admit that listening to your story scared me a bit as I’m waiting to get a THR in July. The longer I wait for this surgery date the more the pain and stiffness progresses.

I didn’t have a hip replacement. But with any surgery infection is a risk. But I live in a rural area and it is the closest hospital. I was taken by ambulance and probably wouldn’t have made it if I was taken 2 hours to a better hospital.

Sharon. So thankful you are ok. I’m sorry but that first hospital stay needs to be addressed. My mother was a nurse and I’ve worked on healthcare for 30 years and as soon as you said something was wrong and you couldn’t lay flat I was like I didn’t hear you mention anything about a diuretic and not me thing anything about output with all the fluid they were giving you. I knew it was fluid build up in your system and that can get dangerous very quickly and that doctor not listening to you is just unacceptable But again I’m thankful you are safe and recovering. Blessings on continued good health

Oh I knew it was fluid overload. Just getting someone to listen was the hard part. I to;d 2 nurses as well as the dr.

Oh my! Everyone needs an advocate. Thankfully, you have the knowledge to be your advocate, but it is sad that you have to be. If you did not have the medical knowledge, you wouldn't be painting a picture for us. Now I am at the end of your video. I am horrified at how many turns your were at risk and the medical community FAILED you. I'm not a litigious person, but I would definitely sue.
