TWSBI 580 and Mini are my most used pens too, along with Platinum 3776. I think TWSBI is one of the best designed pens around. It never dries, it always works, it is easy to service and solid structure. Their stub nib is awesome.

Hmm.... Brian's absolute favorite? I'm guessing the two most likely candidates are his Pilot Custom 74 or his Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age. I'm going to go for it and say the Visconti.

+ The Goulet Pen Company I'd actually love to know which one is his Most Used. Mine was a surprise to me. My burgundy and gold Pilot Elite with a Fine point 14K gold nib. It is amazingly smooth! Like polished glass. Seems to me the perfect balance between wet and dry. And just thinking about writing while holding it seems to result in ink on the paper. I'm surprised that it's now my Most Used pen. Most Used often translates into favorite. Even if sometimes folks don't want to admit it. So yes, would love to know which is Brian's Most Used.

+Peter Puleo Yes, it's very underrated. Mostly a cartridge pen, but a Con-40 converter will fit inside. The ink window on the converter will be completely covered up, but it'll fit.

Yea, the only thing I'm not too sure about is the colour combination of lilac and black. It's not that it clashes but it's just one of these things that don't look bad enough to really turn you off but not really great either.

I use a small medical syringe and the needle from an ink-jet refilll kit, and refill cartridges through the top. Brian, if you poke a hole in the other end, all the ink will either leakk out or dry out.!

Nice collection! Love all of the Pelicans!! I only have the pink. But the Grande Place I have in M800. Now I'm waiting for the Pilot VP Galaxy to become available again!!!...in a broad nib of course. Thanks for showing us your great collection. Rachel, try putting a Broad nib in your Kaweco and of course putting in a less dry ink!

Question for Rachel: with smaller hands, I'd think the TWSBI mini would be a good fit. All those 580's and no minis, though. What made you go with the 580 over the mini?

The Montblanc Boheme is a delightful little pen! It's the only Montblanc I own so far. Unfortunately, they stopped making it a few years ago, so you can only find them used. Mine is the Noir (or Onyx) from 2000. All black, Rhodium trim, faux Onyx stone on the clip, with 14k Rhodium plated nib. I have it inked with Diamine Dark Forest, writes superbly! I haven't cleaned mine yet, since it's on its first inking in my possession, but I think using a std. long cartridge with the back cut off, and a bulb syringe will work great. You want to extend the nib out to flush it outside the pens body, and the longer cartridge may allow you to do that without the syringe popping off.

So, the Pelikan M620 Special Edition Series was a series based on Cities and "Grand Places" that was produced from 2002-2006. Your specific pen is the M620 Grand Places Grand Place. Named after the Grote Markt, or Grand Place, in Brussels and was produced in 2006. That's what I was thinking, but every topo map I've seen is green (vegetation) with purple (buildings). But, old vintage maps are that gorgeous brown, so I think that's what she was going for.

Brian, Rachel i have seven FP's inked up at the moment and i must say Rachel has an impressive pen collection some very nice pens indeed. Especially the 90's Pilots love the material, the Edison's are outstanding. Basically all in all an outstanding collection. Question to you both which do you prefer Sailor or Pilot 14 k nibs.

I have a Delta Chatterley Stantuffo Fusion Star Cage with the Fusion nib and it's one of the best writers I have. That gold onlay may be considered a gimmick by some but I love mine. By the way, you are doing a much better job with the focus in the video.

Now that I've seen each of Brian and Rachel's pens...I'll just say "less is more". Rachel's pens appear more "inviting" in their cases that Brian's did in his "industrial" boxes. It's probably just the presentation, but Rachel's pens appeared more "attractive".
