Why spend this money on building airport that has no meaningful effect on the masses. IMO airport is there to use for now. Is not as if the state has so much money they don’t know what to do with it.

Imo State airport is for Imo state not for Abia. Imagine the employment the airport will give Abians especially those in the aviation sector in Abia State as well as other direct and indirect jobs. Will Imo state provide those employment opportunities for Abians over Imolites?

@ There is nothing wrong in building a new airport if the state is very buoyant financially. But when a state is struggling financially and has many bad roads and other infrastructure issues like dilapidated schools, hospitals . The airport is the least of problem for Abia state. Look at the one built in Ebonyin State it is of no use to the state it was just a waste and an avenue for politicians to loot.

@@ia6145stop comparing Abia with Ebonyi,Abia has a big commercial city that can make the airport viable than Ebonyi.

@ia6145 Point of correction Abia is just as strong as Anambra economically. Again Ebonyi Airport wasn't a waste it was undergoing retrofitting. May I also draw to attention that Abia state has the most road projects going on in the entire eastern region at the moment. The schools and hospitals you're talking about i wonder what planet you're living in if you have no idea that the health trajectory in Abia State has changed during this administration. The Alex Otti administration is taking the bull by its horns when it comes to education with the compulsory free education scheme for primary and junior secondary that will be kick starting from January including building smart new schools. Lastly Abia State is the only state in the East that has more than half their total numbers of local government areas developed into urban towns. If you want i can name them for you. We are more capable as a state than Imo that has mostly hotels and brothels as infrastructures

Our dear governor. Please we need GOOD RUNING WATER IN OUR HOMES, again in Aba!!! What happened to Girls and boys trade schools both in Aba? Trade schools are very important!!! Our forefathers, rightfully knew that!!! After "A" level City and Guilds exams, these graduates can find meaningful jobs anywhere in Nigeria and the world!!! Skills acquisition is key today!!! What about Cashew plantations in the Umuahia area, established during Mike Okpara time? Cashews are in great demand!!!

Why can't these journalists ask about Railway lines across SE and linking to Federal Rail lines since the Federal don't have SE in their Plans
@matteroffact44843 күн бұрын
Because they know that Biafra will be liberated soon, we the Igbo will not like a railroad connection with the useless zoological Republic Nigeria.

Am very surprised that at this age and time that there are still some people who call them selves educated human beings still thinking like illitrates and enemies of progress who still believes that building an airport in Abia State is a waste of money Ndo nwam for am sorry to say that you lack knowledge my dear and i would rather advise you to keep quiet rather than making yourself look stupid in the sight of those who are looking at the future of Abia State.
