This was Mule at their best. I love Mule today too, but this era as a pure power trio was as good as it gets. Warren’s tone with the Soldano and the young voice was powerful and cut through the air, Woody was just off the charts and Matt was full of energy. This is a gem of a recording.

Has to be one of the best Mule videos on YT. Agree u cannot get any better with Warren, Woody & Matt than this. Also love that Woody is featured so much more than usually seen. These guys just had it.

the mule could have used their Allman Brothers fame instead they played every gin joint that would book them across N America resulting in insanely rabid diehards like myself still here 25 years later

I would give a TESTICLE to see these guys at this time period. Warren sounds ridiculously good. You just don't hear this level of straight up talent and musicianship at all nowadays. RIP WOODY.

I just stumbled onto this, thanks for putting it up. Great memories, got to see Allen play with them 3 times, each time touring the 1st 3 albums. An absolute revelation. Mountain meets Cream meets the Allman Brothers meets Zeppelin. These guys did not give a f*** what they looked like, it's all about the music and the tone. Allen's bass growl made our drinks travel around the table by themselves. Just so soul-filling glorious. Music fo' yo' ass!

I wasn't really old enough when woody had played but I seen a few shows in 2003-06 that were intense, hard driving, BUT THIS. This is good stuff. I'm glad I found it

This was my favorite band as far as influences go. As a bassist Woody was my influence. It was the Wood that made it good!! Play loud and proud. That's what he would have said!!

I'm old. Saw MULE in 1996 in Boston. Warren's cab was 10 ft away from my skull... lol..... Was like an awakening. This was the band I wanted to be in. I grew up on ZZ TOP, Jimi Hendrix Experience & AC/DC. Power trios and songs with spaces that make them heavier. MULE completely reorganized my thinking back to that . I quit my band after that when the other members didn't share my vision. I love the original band 95-2000. After Woody passed they weren't the same....

Mule is our jamband Motorhead in a way :) In the mid- 90's hearing those first few notes blast through you face, you knew you were alive and in for 3 hours of power blues rock on 11. I did the "mistake" / "was fortunate" to ride the rail at some shows right in front of Woody and his stack. I am still recovering some of my hearing as of this day. Favorite show: June 16 - 1995 Club Toast, Burlington VT...small club, sweat, weed, shrooms and beer. Huge opening monster classic "Rocking Horse" also Mahavishnu's "Eternity's Breath", the Beatles "I Want You" and so much more. You are always guaranteed a great sweat at a Mule show. Cures your asthma too.

My first one. The drummer of my band insisted with a free ticket and a ride....never looked back. Was at the Fox in 98 for the double live album. Met Warren outside the Georgia Therater before a show I attended. The best jam band ever.
