European here. Never heard of this guy but was very impressed, he actually seems human and caring and I 100% agree that making sure kids have a healthy lunch is important. I am originally from the UK , my parents had 5 children and money was tight. Having free school lunches sure helped and I remember them with fondness…also a free carton of milk to make sure we were getting enough calcium. Now, all those 5 children are working, paying taxes and having large families themselves. It is a win-win situation. Why can’t some Americans see that?

This is a moot point. However, I am a 75 year old great-grandmother (grandchildren married with kids). When I study the lives of candidates (to make a choice) I first look at their personal lives. Next their politics. When a candidate has grandchildren and there has never been one picture of him taking little kids to the park, spending a day with them - just not human.
