Gov.Zulum has earlier today received an awardof excellence by the Center for Peace&Strategic Studies

CPSS: ZULUM, OTHERS BAG AWARDS..
The Executive Governor of Borno State,Prof.Babagana Umara Zulum has earlier today received an award of excellence by the Center for Peace and Strategic Studies, university of Ilorin(CPSS) in an occasion tagged "2024 Alumni Award Presentation" held at the University.
The center says that Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum was given this coveted award because he is among the few Nigerians who distinguished themselves in the whole gamut of peace building, especially his handling of the post insurgency peace process in Borno state.
Receiving the award on behalf of the state governor, the state deputy governor Dr. Umar Usman Kadafur remarked that, despite years of the Boko Haram mayhem and its attendant damages occasioned by the insurgency in the state, Governor Zulum has never been encumbered or relented in rebuilding the state because of his firm belief in providing quality leadership to his people.
He added that he was happy to represent the governor in receiving the "deserved award" and thanked the center for finding Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum worthy of the award. Alhaji Umar Usman Kadafur equally pledged on behalf of the state government to build a beffiting edifice for the center at its research lodge.
Other awardees at the event included the immediate past chief of staff to president Buhari, Prof Ibrahim Gambari,former first lady, late Maryam Ibrahim Babangida and Amb Lt Gen.Tukur Yusuf Buratai.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied by the Member representing Biu at state house of assembly Hon.Yakubu Gambo Kimba,Commissioner for Information and Internal Security Prof.Usman Tar, Elder statesman and former commissioner for Trade, Commerce and tourism Hon.Yarima Lawan Kareto,Senior Special assistant to H.E Hon.Habu Ibrahim respectively
