I love the look of the Portofino, I just wish they had an in house movement instead of the Sellita. I know that would increase costs, but then it would move up a class. Great case for sure!

I am in between this 38mm IWC Portofino and a 37mm JLC Master Control... It is a really hard choose.

Go with the JLC if you don’t mind spending the extra money for it. The IWC is an attractive value purchase though if that’s of consequence to your decision.

I think there are serious problems with the quality of the watches. For example, the straps applied after the agreement signed with Santoni were so bad that IWC made a comeback in a short time. Besides, take a Portofino Iwc and you will hear some noises without wearing the watch on your wrist, I couldn't believe it when I first heard the sounds coming from this rotor. Even in a very basic watch, such problems never occur. They are trying to recover the lost value with Hamilton since 2015, but it is impossible with this quality. The half price loss is already the biggest indicator of this. If you are going to invest in a watch while there is a brand like Rolex, I would say don't look for adventure. Or do not say this is timepiece.

40 mm fits just about any wrist. 41 mm and over is when things will start getting dicey.
