It’s funny I just got a new kettle and my criteria were pretty different. I wanted to be able to fit my hand in it comfortably to put eggs in without fear of cracking and I *wanted* steel sides with no window so I could safely cool the sides with water to clean in the event of a mid-boil egg crack.

I'm on my third ice maker in three years. And they all do the same thing. The sensor eye goes bad and it makes ice constantly till the mechanism is jammed and then it finally stops running. I wish i could just fix the limit sensor eye but it appears they turn black over time. Like it overheated.

you missed an important part. no matter what type of plastic used if any ends up flavouring the water and slowly disintegrating within a year or two. had expensive brand kettle that upon inspection plastic parts literally started breaking into small pieces after two years use. no more plastic parts kettles for me not even lid.

When you fill your kettle you know how much water you are putting in it why do you need to see the water in a glass container to know how much is in it? Also why do you care how much is in it? All you need to do is fill it with enough water for whatever task not some precise amount.

lol so there is a MAX mark inside, you just put the water as is under the ice plastic bucket, and you fill it as much as you want until the MAX mark. The MAX mark is almost invisible because it;s white on white but it's there :)

Everything else about it is great all the necessary features mentioned but you can't see inside easily without taking the lid off. Then there's steam...sigh. This is why you prefer glass clear kettle

This review does not live up to your usual quality. This product segment is so much wider than tested. Have a Breville tea pot. It’s awesome. Temperature settings for several types of tea can be programmed built like a Rolls-Royce and the most handsome appliance in my kitchen. Please bury me with it don’t want to be without a really good hot cup of Earle Grey or English Breakfast.
