Very inspiring! New sub I have been looking into this since I started my business a few months back.I’m not giving up.Some people make it seem impossible to do this and want to charge thousands of dollars for information. But if you continue to stay consistent, search and study anything is possible. Thank you for this video

Hello Derek I really appreciate the time you take to help people and educate them on this whole govt contracting thing. By listening and watching your videos you saved me alot of money with the implementation of making the capability statement on my own. its crazy how much these companies charge to get the ball rolling on this. I'm aware that it can be a very lucrative business and somethings are worth it but $999.99 for a document is a little much for me. Thanks!

I’m so glad you didn’t pay that much for a cap statement 😕

So glad to see this as I am also a newbie and someone asked me why I didn’t have a capability statement and I was looking to see what other new businesses listed on their capability statement having no past experience. Inspired by this interview! Still…what does a new business list on their capability statement? Thank you Derek for this channel!

That is amazing! Congratulations 🎉 I am a fellow Native American from the Navajo reservation trying to start my contracting business with data entry, bookkeeping, project management & possibly medical billing/coding. You really inspired me Florentyna to keep going. I got distracted and I am right there at my SAM registration and it’s not matching with the IRS for some reason. Anyways I’ve been putting off fixing the problem for weeks now and this was a sign to try a little each day. I’m the same way listening to videos while I do medical billing from home or walking my dogs. I have Derek in my airpods. Thank you for this. It was a sign I needed to get back out there n finish.

Derek - we just saw a LPTA solicitation come across that does not call for past performance. Should we provide two or three past performance references anyway? Also, how would they assess technically acceptable without understanding our past performance history?
@mlmiles14 жыл бұрын
FYI -- I think I found a comprehensive answer to my question at : smallgovcon.com/gaobidprotests/gao-past-performance-evaluation-not-required-in-lpta-set-aside-competition/ It looks like I do not need to provide past performance if it is a LPTA contract.

The truest way to approach responding to any bid is to give the government what they’ve asked for and ONLY what they’ve asked for
@mlmiles14 жыл бұрын
@@GovKidMethod Love that answer. That is the plan. Honestly, it makes me a little nervous to only send in a skinny submission but that's what we will do. Less is more!
