Thank you for your analysis if it were in diaspora. No one pray for this. Its so unfortunate that things turn out this way in ibadan. Naomi has had previous programs like this successfully. It was the invasion of the hoodlums who invaded the venue that causes the pandemonium that causes these record of injured and death people. May the souls of the dead rest in peace. Things like this happens in stadiums, cinema and social event even here in America but the whole securityon air and ground will rescuethe situation. May God deliver us all from evils

Parents were expected to also be responsible for their kids ! Some parents sent their children to that event without their physical presence ! There was just so many things wrong ! Can you go to an event in diaspora and not physically ensure your kids enter safely before leaving ? There are several loopholes in this situation and not only the organizers or media people should be blamed !

What you only know how to do is to talk and talk. You guys will keep blaming the goverment what about us. Where have we kept out morals. The event was even cancelled. You need to apply critical thinking first. I am not a fans of anyone here. I can only see you bloggers are all being sentimental about the all issue. Its sad alots of children loose their life.

So after the accident has happened, either by omission or other form of error, what precisely were you expecting the governor to say than to say he is sorry? What other way do you express your apology in such a situation? And what do you understand by something is unfortunate? Is it not a sad event? Is there anything he could do at this time to reverse the incident? And why are you personalising it with the governor's wife? Those who are directly responsible for ensuring safety during such events are already been held responsible. When did it become the duties of the governor's wife to monitor such events and be involved in the planning? What should be advocated is to put a system in place to take care of such events and prevent its occurrence, not to be pointing accusing fingers on the wife of the governor. I don't like Seyi Makinde for so many things. In fact he is one governor and person I "hate". So my comment has nothing to do with politics. But sometimes the way we criticize people in leadership position does not take cognisance of what their position entails. And sometimes some of you make it look as if everything is perfect in the diaspora where you stay. Just Google stampede in US or stampede in UK or stampede in London and see the list of stampede accidents that they have recorded. Hajj pilgrimage is an annual event that takes place every year and so has become a routine with systems in place, yet from 1989 to 2024 we had not less than 6 occurrences of stampede during Hajj. And it had happened before also in the 60s and 70s. Not that one is giving excuses for this accident. But always trying to make comparison with diaspora is sometimes unfair. When there is a major fire incidents here you have some people making comparison whereas major fire incidents are more frequent in some advanced countries. Same with train crushing cars. These are places viewed as having perfect systems. When those stampedes occured, nobody went ahead to start blaming the wives of the governors of the mayors of those states. At the end of the day, the bulk would still stop on the table of the governor, but it is not to be personalized. The organisers are to be held responsible.
