Respect to both players. But nanda is having trouble finding free points. He has to grind every single point. And his FH/BH is not doing enough damage. He needs a shot to win him a free point. Without that if he goes down 0-15 or 0-30 he’s fighting a crazy uphill battle. Easier said than done. 1. But on deuce he needs to use more slice outwide, then attack to his opponent backhand and come to net. 2. He should hit bigger to safe targets and try to produce short balls. Then finish at the net. 3. He should take pace off and pull his player outwide on the deuce and hit the next shot backhand line (or mix it up and hit behind) and see if he can produce short balls. Again that’s the strategy, but obviously hard to do when your opponent has really good firepower and is an elite player.

If he could, he would. He is listed at either 5'7" or 5'9" and 155lb. He is tiny and has to play Michael Chang tennis. You can't outfight biology, and he can't generate massive shots because....well because he physically can't.

Yeah not a pro but noticing alot of the cross court rallies forehand to forehand he goes for deep penetration, where if he looked to instead just get it a bit more wide would probably get more free short balls, but easier said than done with the pace off their balls

He cant get free points because of height. His opponent is taller and can generate easy power. Thats why Shwartzmann also cant win free points even with a 28inch racquet

Colton smith is a great player but has terrible sportsmanship like so many American college tennis players. Cheering when your opponent makes an error is just a jerky thing to do.

@@jsjournal7723 On the one I think you're talking about, Colton was pulled way off court on a serve, and made a great stab just to get it back. Nanda missed the next ball, and Colton cheered. I think he was cheering his effort, making Nanda play one more ball, rather than disrespecting his opponent.

On Winston Du's channel the pro set between Govind and Karue was very close - Karue ended up winning. Also, Govind even had a higher ATP ranking than Karue.

Karue Sell actually faced Smith in an itf match in November last year. Karue Sell ended up barely winning 4-6, 7-6, 7-6. Smith managed to break Sell six times, so "cook both easy" is a bold statement. That being said, Smith even won more points during the match in total. Just couldn't clutch.
