A multi-stop mission to the Far North has Devan, Scott and Adam facing a series of white- knuckle obstacles. From an oil-spewing engine on one plane to a gas-guzzling engine on another, it’s an ongoing battle to maintain fluid levels as they circuit their destinations. Add Joe’s wrath to the mix and it’s a mettle-testing journey they won’t soon forget. Meanwhile, Audrey’s northern adventure escorting a team of dog mushers to the 2010 Arctic Winter Games puts her in the driver’s seat in a way she didn’t expect.

It is extremely serious to be responsible for the lives of others. Murphy’s Law is always gunning for you.

The minute you see oil pressure dropping turn the damn plane around and get it back to the tarmac that's ridiculous that you're going to keep riding it out that long

Above 3500 ft it is normal for a carbureted engine to have the mixture reduced until you see the RPMs increase 50 - 75 RPMs. Saves gas and doesn't burn up your cylinder heads unless your an idiot.

Not sure about electric powered frost fighters, but Herman/Nelson heaters would definitely preheat the engines and aircraft to the point of operation, no problems at all.

Wow - we are calling a cross-feed a "clever manoeuvre" and saying it will allow more time - pretty silly

Despite their interesting, "get-it-done" personalities, I feel that folks at Buffalo Airlines should know when to hold... and when to fold. Why don't they just sell off (for parts) the piston-pounders from WWII? They may already be too late to get anything for the old things; they may have waited too long. Then get a loan and purchase some modern equipment, at least turboprops running jet fuel. And how about real cargo planes that open to load and unload using a big rear door? Then, just maybe, they could make enough money to cover the investment. If a cost-to-benefit analysis proved this impossible, then just fold up the whole business and quit while you're... ahead? Well, we'd not get any more colorful stories, but I want what's best for them, not us.
