Gozney Dome Unboxing Video

Here is a video of my unboxing my new Gozney Dome oven! I would have normally waiting for the construction crew to leave my house and the weather to have been nicer so i could have made a great video of me unboxing it and then a first use all in one but i was so excited to open it up i couldn't wait! The Stand just arrived while i was editing this video so i will get an unboxing of it ASAP. I am planning on making some pizzas this weekend so can't wait to show you all this oven in action! #gozneydome #pizzaoven

Looks great! One question, is that cover it shipped in the bonus one they said was worth $99 that would come free with pre-orders, or was there another one I missed in the video? The shipping one looked a bit see through and lightweight to withstand the elements long term.

Hey Chad, great to hear from you buddy! Everything is great with me hope you and your family are doing well! I just measured, at the bottom base of the standard 35 inches wide wide! I would suggest ripping your door out and replacing it with a larger door or possibly building a new house😎👍🏼

Hi, I have just received my Dome and really happy with it. Can I ask if the chimney sits flush with the top of the oven as mine is slightly proud of the surface and can wobble. I’ve tried to push in further but it won’t go in anymore. You can rock it if you push it. Thanks Simon

Hello Simon, first off congratulations on getting your dome, very excited for you. Yes the chimney stack sits a little bit above the actual oven so don’t try to push it down any farther, and there is a little tiny bit of wobble but doesn’t affect the functionality of it. I would go above and beyond their instructions for curing the oven, If you’re using gas I would turn it on low heat for for five hours and if you’re using wood bill just a small fire let it burn for the same amount of time before you ever use it

UK weather is awful at this time…:) it looks amazing and really grateful for your instruction videos. I always keep an eye out for any new uploads 👍 I bought the Roccbox while I was waiting for the Dome, what a great little oven that is! Thanks for confirming re the chimney, I thought I had a quality issue although it does sit straight if you don’t mess with it. I’m just getting a feel for how it works at this time. Glad the videos are helpful and your absolutely welcome! I will be in London in March so hopefully the weather is better then :) When you do fire it back up i would cure it for multiple hours especially with due to the rain and moisture, the stone will absorb the moisture and if you heat it up to fast it will cause the stone to crack

Hello Rob, Thanks so much for watching and reaching out! The good thing is that your really can't go wrong with any of the ovens from Alfa, iL Fornio or Gozney. The main difference is going to be in Price, Since Alfa Alfa assembles their ovens in Italy and IL Fornio in the USE the cost is significantly higher. Gozney's oven is manufacture in China so the price is much lower but i haven't had any issues with the quality of the manufacturing and it was in a better price point for me. I also prefer the looks of the DOME and like how it's covered in ceramic, for me it looks like a more traditional pizza oven. The one thing is supply / availability, I have heard that it's very hard to get a DOME these days so if you want / need an oven sooner than the others might be a better fit. I have zero regrets with my DOME, for the price you will not find anything better that is both wood and gas!

Can I put the Gozney Dome pizza oven in a covered patio with about 4-5 feet of clearance? Don't want any hot exhaust issues. How does this oven distribute heat from the exhaust, straight up or at the sides of the chimney top?

4-5 feet of clearance above it should be fine , it kind of depends if you’re using gas or wood. If you’re burning wood, you’re more than likely get some black soot buildup on the ceiling of your patio but you can always get a piece of chimney pipe and place your oven near the edge and try to vent it out. More importantly, if you place it on a patio, you need to have at least three sides open for proper ventilation. My dome isn’t on my patio but my other two pizza ovens are but they’re gas.

It comes in a separate boxing you install it in the little insert! Check all the boxes and if you didn’t get it I can easily ship you want to slide in

I recently purchased my green dome through a hardware store here in Dallas, the color made it take a little longer but what irks me is that the manager of the store took it upon himself to unbox and assemble stand and then position dome on top of stand thus cutting straps. He then took it to the front of the store and told me several people admire it. It now has some smudges on it but what chaps my hide is that in retail once you unbox something and take it to the front of the store it is no longer new and is considered a display item. Am I being too nit picky here? Please advise. He has offered delivery for $40 dollars but who gave him permission to unbox something I paid for? Hillsman

I would complain, but then say that now that they’ve mounted on the stand already they’re gonna have to deliver it for free. Tell them you would plan on just putting the box in the back of your car but now it’s too much hassle when you’re afraid it will get damaged.

Thanks for watching! If your going to be making pizza you will not need a door with this oven, the insulation and heat retention is great. The oven is actually one of the best deals for this type and quality of ovens. any other brand at this level are going to start at twice this much.

I do intend on making the purchase; I just felt the door is a necessity when cooking with wood fire, to seal the door way and close off the smoke stack to smother the flames at the end of a cook. I will still make the purchase but for the price it should of came with the unit my opinion.
