The word calzone comes from the Italian for trouser leg or stocking- possibly because we fill them, like a stocking, or possibly because you can eat them on the move. This ragu calzone is undoubtedly delicious but maybe one you want to grab a knife and fork and sit down with instead! Or at the very least, don’t wear a white tee shirt!🍕

Looks so good! You indicated you didn't know the proper pronunciation for Calzone...you pronounce the 'e' at the end, so your second version was better. After all, you're pizza oven people...should say it right ;)

Sorry but as italian I have to disagree, both pronunciations are completely wrong. First one a bit closer though

@@mdearsley no, I'm saying the first pronunciation it's a bit closer to the correct one mainly in terms of sound. In the Italian alphabet we spell every single vowels even when at the end of the word. In this case the "e" it will sound not "ee" but more like when you say "end" (without "nd" obviously). Just for practise try calzon-end but trying to stop before you pronounce the nd.
