Shadow of Doubt is probably the greatest Modern playable card that I always wanted to run and never found the right deck for - what a card !

In game 3, there was no way Hayne could have left up 4 mana on turn 4 if his opponent had used a Cryptic or a fulminator: had he copied the bounceland, he would have had to return another land to his hand, leaving him with two bouncelands and a normal land

Slapp my thoughts exactly. I was so confused when they kept talking about it for 3 minutes. I thought I misunderstood how vesuva worked. I don't know what they were thinking lol. Sure, Pat's side is still relevant, where he had to decide if he had spirit guide or not, but it wasn't a bluff or anything by Hayne.

Slapp I noticed this as well. He was dead to Cryptic either way if he did not have Simian Spirit Guide. I guess Cedric just didn't notice it.

Raging Poo They actually talked about the possibility of Hayne having the Spirit Guide and leading Chapin into a trap.

Can someone explain to me why in game 2 Chapin destroys a Khalni Garden instead of one of the two caverns? He feared having to face a lot of 0/1 plants? They might have mattered by the tempo point of view, but I feel like in the long game having the possibility to counter a Titan or a Thragtusk would have been much more valuable. Unless both Caverns were set to Beast, of course.

Slapp he needed him to not have 6 manna that turn, if he had destroyed different land he could of floated the manna.

Also if a prime time had resolved and gotten 4 lands he could be attacking with a plant token for 4 a turn

Oh man !!! In Game two when Chapin casts his Serum Vision to find his Land drop he afterwards should definatly have thoughtscoured Hayne becuse je sryed and let Both cards on top. -> Chapin would have prevented Hayne to have those Cards and wouldn't have Missed his Land drop...

I'd like to know why Chapin didn't counter that second thragtusk and bounce the first on second game.

Cavern of Souls makes Thragtusk uncounterable. Hayne had 2 caverns of souls in play

This is when Modern was good. Value deck beats out the combo deck.

Turn 2 Game 3: Each player plays a land and passes the turn. Looking at the in game clock, Chapin's Turn 2 took 4 seconds; 15:29-15:25 Hayne's Turn 2 lasted from 15:22-14:49 Again they both just played lands. Personally I think about my plays during my opponent's turn, and if that person plays something that changes my plan or if my draw changes it then I will alter it accordingly. I certainly don't play a land and go in the tank for like a minute on Turn 2 when my plan is to just pass the turn.. This happens the whole time it was just at this moment that I became noticeably annoyed by it. And the whole "my deck is complicated argument" should never matter because your opponent does not choose what deck that you play nor should someone be granted more time because their deck is perceived by some to be more complicated. I play in events regularly as well and I personally hate it when my opponent is the reason that I get a draw because we went to time, using up far more of the clock than myself. TL;DR version - play your goldfish deck a little faster bruh.
