how? all it did was increase the amount of work the engine needs to do since it now has to cancel out its own pressure.

​@@utley there is no way you can tell what this will do with backpressure since you dont know how many cylinders, length, configuration, temperature, type of intake etc etc etc. I work with mufflers, this one might actually increase flow comparing to a stock one

Btw its called a twin loop system.

@@WadeWilson- you increase pressure every time you make a 90 degree bend substantially. All he did was create a restriction in the line, and a big one too. You dont need to know anything more since the medium hasnt changed and its going through the same pipe. Pressure is inversely proportionate to velocity, and all he did was create a feedback loop. Want to know how it works? Make a hydraulic line in the same schematic and see for yourself.

Thing is you didn't separate the pipes on the inside so the exhaust is just going to follow the path of least resistance!, and that extra pipe is just going to be extra weight.

Because for some applications straight pipes *ARE JUST TOO DAMN LOUD!!* By all means, if you're at the drag strip, straight pipes are fine. If you want something to also cruise in, while being able to have a conversation in the car, straight pipes _might_ be a tad too much.
