I bought the "dedicated" version and here is why. Back in the day, I completed a "Dexter only" run of the game on a "conversion" cabinet because back in the day, a video game magazine had all of the moves to a full "Dexter only" run printed in their magazine so it was easy to memorize and do. I had been working on an "Ace only" run on that same cabinet (it was at a local arcade) but I kept on falling short (I knew the moves, but couldn't seem to put a complete run together.) My mom and dad used to go to Las Vegas once a year and I always got a babysitter for 3 or 4 days. When I was in sixth grade though they actually took me along. They would take turns, one would gamble and the other would follow me around and watch me like a hawk. I finally completed my "Ace only" run at Circus/Circus on a "dedicated" cabinet with my dad (rest his soul) watching me. He probably did not want to admit he was my dad because when I did it, I pitch a fit like you wouldn't believe that I did it. So I have a lot of nostalgia for the game, especially on the "dedicated" cabinet.

Happy belated birthday 🎉 I’m more into to the conversion kit only because that’s the one I played as a kid. Another great showing of these amazing replica 1/6 cabinets 😊

Happy Birthday! I played the conversion kit. I don't have any New Wave Toys yet but the Space Ace might convince me to pick one up.

The LED scoreboard is off-center on the "dedicated" cabinet because the left side of the backglass is taken up with the difficulty-options display. That only lights up when you're actually playing a game.

Even though I really like to buy the original cab designs, I kinda wish this version had the light up volcano buttons in addition to the light up display board 🫢

Nice replicas, for sure… my dragons lair rom seems glitchy, and the street fighter is hard to play, the food fight too, but I buy one of most of them so far and I’m in on any going forward.

Thanks. Printed the side graphics today, just a bunch of little details to finish it off. the game is so much more fun with a yoke. My only problem is the emulator I think does the best job at simulating vector graphics does not play stawars well with yoke. It aae emulator

Do both of yours have the same serial numbers? I’m wondering if it’s some kind of Easter egg or something, maybe ask Shilo in the future.

I'll have to check on that

It does look different, not better but different. The conversion looks cooler, the game is alright.
