Let me be the first to say if anybody out there is looking for a Bluetooth speaker that can play USB flash drive Etc this is definitely worth considering it sounds really good the bass actually is really good you can noticeably hear the Bass from around 30 Hertz which is really good for any type of a speaker I don't care what it is 20 Hertz is just the speaker moving in and out moving air 30 is when you start hearing actual Bass the tweeters I mean dude buy it that's all I'm going to say I've listened to lots of different things this thing is really good and it has ample power it's not like the Brooklyn boom box it actually does have some power

How does deep bass compare to the jvc kaboom and the Panasonic dt680? Thank you!!!!
@kyfeam18 күн бұрын
nothing beats the bass of the JVC.. outside of the Sharp GX-M10 or the newer version Sharp GX-BT9X with Bluetooth.. this speaker is more in line with the Panasonic if i were to compare.. and thats not a bad thing.. definitely worth the cash..

Great review. Love the wooden enclosures....looks like they responded to the critics of the GPO Brooklyn. Have you ever owned that one?
@kyfeam7 ай бұрын
no.. bit to pricey for me.. plus seen the video Techmoan did on the Brooklyn.. and it looked pretty cheaply made.. the Manhattan on the other hand is actually quite well built.. it certainly better built then most retro inspired boomboxes these days.. highly recommend grabbin one if you can..

@@kyfeam I guess they used the money they saved by not giving it a tuner, tape deck or CD player, and put it into the sound quality

@@80s_Boombox_Collector sounds about right.. would rather have that than items i no longer use like CD player or USB/MicroSD MP3 player.. i use Bluetooth and KZbin music on my phone.. so much more convenient.. i know us old schoolers love cassettes.. and i do.. but you really cant beat Bluetooth streaming.. technology is a wonderful thing sometimes..

Personally I own the Brooklyn Boombox I have one currently I bought one when they first came out I wasn't really too impressed the number one issue with the Brooklyn Boombox is a parasitic drain on the battery. What you have to do is charge up the battery and then unplug it do you plug it in when you're ready to use it otherwise it will drain the battery without even using the item. The only other issue with the Brooklyn boomboxes not enough volume

@@kimballlewis5030 So you have to leave it plugged in all the time?
@davidbrigham83192 ай бұрын
Can you play FM stereo on it and play CDs from a USB plug in player. Also can you run it on ac plug in 🤔.
@kimballlewis503020 күн бұрын
No it doesn't have a built-in radio basically if you want to listen to the radio you could do Bluetooth and it does have USB so you can hook up a stick and it does have inputs if you want to run a CD player with a cord you can run 3.5 chord to hook up anything you want
@kimballlewis503012 күн бұрын
Will this particular unit it is a Bluetooth speaker but it does have a 3.5 input so you can hook up a radio you can hook up a CD player you can hook up a cassette player they have Jacks to hook up anything to it the most interesting thing is that whatever Source you hook into you can actually record onto USB

As far as plugging it in it does have a built-in lithium ion battery as far as I know basically when the unit is full you want to unplug it you don't want to leave it plugged in all the time because you're leaving the battery at 100% capacity and with lithium ion batteries they like to be charged up and then used the worst thing you can do to any battery is keep it fully charged all the time unless it's some kind of lead acid battery those are the only batteries that like to be at 100% all the time

I picked up the Brooklyn Boombox before I left California wish it was a little bit louder wish they would have used Vu meters instead of the digital lights but it plays a lot of different things cassette CD USB I mean it basically plays a lot of stuff so you can't really complain too much . Basically I was looking for a Bluetooth speaker I do have an EXO's 9 I've had it for quite some time but I wanted something a little different the EXO's 9 TB very boomy like just a different sound signature so I picked this up because I figured well hey let's see what it's about

@kimballlewis503012 күн бұрын
No it does not have a battery gauge. If you plan on taking it somewhere you would just plug it in and make sure it's topped off when the battery is full the light will stay on constantly blue on the back

Out the 2023 Lasonic and the manhattan, which one would you recommend?
@kyfeam Жыл бұрын
for build quality.. the GPO.. for loudness.. the Lasonic.. though the GPO does have impressive sound.. the Lasonic has 8 inch woofers.. and beefy ones at that.. hope this helps!

Personally I own both of these items one just gives you more sources to play music

How long that battery last
@kimballlewis503012 күн бұрын
When I've used it I played it at a decent volume I would say the battery can last anywhere from 6 to 10 hours depending upon the volume level
