Technical video showing four GPS Rescues.
The GPS Rescue code is stock Betaflight 4.4 code.
The underlying Angle Mode code is from PR #12231, which provides feedforward and earth referencing in angle mode.
In these flights I modified the code in #12231 to calculate an Angle Mode feedforward for the GPS Rescue control signal for pitch. Previously there was none. This ensures the least possible delay from the GPS control angles to the returned angles.
It was fairly windy. The GPS code had to roll quite a lot to overcome the wind. Even so. landing accuracy was good, max error 2m.
Pitch had very little delay, so it was responding very quickly to every little change in GPS pitch angle. As a result, velocity control was good. There was some stepping in pitch, which would be entirely due to GPS data imprecision.
