Is that with a Razer computer also? I didn't have to do anything from what I remember, just plugged it in and it worked. But I did read about some brands not allowing it on their computers.

I got the the 10gen laptop from Costco. Added a 500gb Nvme plus original hhd as storage. The gpu Mx 250 4gb and 16gb ram is over clocked at 3000 and 1900 the gpu and able to render videos on the fly 9 min for 30 min video and 14 min for 40min video. Is there any other upgrade I can do? Bios has been unlock and every feature can be altered?

I want to travel the world, with a razor blade pro 17. I want a huge desktop at home. Would it be realistic to use the desktop from home which is in The Netherlands, while being in Thailand?

Absolutely. I still do much of my work on my Razer Blade with an RTX 3090 in the eGPU. Only time I need to be connected to my stationary work station is when I'm sending jobs to my render farm via VPN, otherwise I can work completely remote if I just have access to my eGPU and my external hard drive :-)

You mean an eGPU? Not actually sure, I'm certain there are mobo's with thunderbolt connections available, but if there are drivers to use eGPU's, I don't know. :-)

I don't see anyone using v-ray GPU engine ... can you tell me why f-Strom is better than v ray GPU?

I know that Dabarti studio and Bertrand Benoit use V-Ray GPU.

The answer to that question completely depends on who you're asking. FStorm is better (for me) simply because I enjoy using it more. It's less focused on technical aspects and values, and more focused on virtual photography.
