Very pleasantly surprised to hear his appreciation for Cyclops! Cyclops is such an underrated character; even though he's got just as many struggles and hardships as many other Marvel characters (Hulk, Spider-Man, Daredevil, etc), if not more so, he's just never been as beloved and respected as them for some reason. He's got the hardcore, focused mentality of Batman plus laser vision! How is that not awesome?

Kevin Smith, in my opinion, is the most truthful film storyteller of my generation. His own films, Clerks 1,2, & 3, Mall Rats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma? Truth and incredible story with likeable characters, and real dialogue in every scene. I'm 42 and Tarantino is the best film maker in my lifetime, but Kevin Smith made films that reflected the world at the time that I lived. Talking about the stuff that mattered to us at the time, even though it didn't actually matter at all in the scope.of things, but he made it real and hel the mirror to his and our generation. So glad he is still with us.

One of the best things about how superhero movies are being made these days, especially on the MCU side, is that they're being made by people who were always FANS FIRST. Cyclops is iconic. Just take Superman's heat vision, ask 'what if you couldn't turn it off?' and that defines mutants: the whole concept of being troubled with having superpowers. Beyond that, his personality is just King Arthur. No offense to Clerks, but the OG tragic role model is pretty apparent.
