No one seems to get what you're talking about but i do. Not all Drs. have good bedside manner and some just see so much pain and sickness that their empathy seems to erode. I remember the day my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer after we thought her cancer was completely gone. The Dr. walks in the room with her test results and says "Dude, you have so much cancer that you basically are cancer at this point" with a slight laugh. Safe to say we didn't really find it funny. He just walked out of the room, not even telling us the details. Where was the cancer? What stage? Nothing but a stupid joke. Granted, this wasnt her normal Oncologist but an Emergency room Dr but still. I'll never forget how insensitive he was.

Tip for medical workers: I got hit by a drunk driver last December, and had to go to the emergency room. The nurse looked at me like she was disgusted with me, as if I caused the accident. To this day I'm still having to go through physical therapy, and injections in my spine because of it. Please never assume anything because someone is young and got in a car accident. It's not always our fault.

Although I can't speak for your particular nurse, most of the time we are disgusted by what HAPPENS to people, not the people themselves. This guy has 1000% been called as a professional witness in court before. His analysis of the events leading up to a patient being admitted leads me to believe that he’s had to go through this in court. A lot of trauma doctors and nurses don’t always get the full circumstance of why their patient is on their operating table. Also really love the way he explains things and uses ways to make the information he’s relating more comprehensible.
