Goon is my favorite hockey movie! I think it's utterly hilarious and a love letter to hockey, especially since it was written by Jay Baruchel, a huge hockey fan. Youngblood was our favorite movie to watch on the team bus. I also don’t know what he was talking about with Miracle. We had to skate ladders EVERY practice. In high school, juniors, college. Like... if I say I’ve skated 10,000 ladders I’m probably low. That scene in Miracle where he makes them skate ladders after the game happened to us IRL, because of the same reasons basically. 3 weeks after that happened, we were in the movie theatre as a team watching Miracle and were just laughing, blown away, we started calling our coach “Herb” after that.
