GR COROLLA | 3D Rocker Panel Bubble Letters (It's about time)

Finally!!! Up to this point there have only been vinyl letters available for the recessed "GR-FOUR" letters on the rocker panels. I reached out to many different manufacturers when the GR Corolla first came out about making some of these 3D bubble letters. I was told by many companies that they would be coming out with them soon but never did. Fast forward more than a year later when I found someone that started making 3D "bubble" letters for the rocker panel in-lays for the GR Corolla and I am excited. These look fantastic and are 100x nicer than the vinyl in-lays.

I went on and bought the entire tufskinz domed carbon fiber goodies for my interior. I've seen their work posted on the facebook GR Corolla group. Looks great and affordable compared to the other options on the market.

I looked at that too, and you are right that it was priced nicely for the quality. I thought about it but I didn't want the twill carbon fiber look. I ended up wrapping my center console instead. I'm happy that you are pleased with it.

Ahhh u must have done that Reddit post I saw earlier. Looks good - I’ve found some decent stuff on Etsy including a set of the CE rocker decals for about $50, good quality Avery Dennison vinyl too.

I reached out to several different companies that all told me they would be coming out with these when the GR Corolla first came out and nothing every came out, I was so disappointed. I was thrilled when I saw these! And I love them! I was surprised though that I had to ask for the white letters with a red R since he had the red R with other colors.

@@jimsgaragetoys well I think the issue Jess they based it off the white gr Corolla that I have so they probably didn’t think of the black

@@jlo4767 That would make sense. I told him that very few if anyone would want all whit letters on a black or red GRC but many black owners would want the white letters with a red R. It's still not an option though which is weird.

Ugh. I just did the vinyl inlays last weekend and was cussing the entire time. I can already tell that they won’t hold up - wish I knew someone finally had these available sooner. Also, working with small 3D inlays like these ones in the past, I’ve found that putting a little bit of scotch tape on the front side makes it really easy to line them up properly.

I can see the scotch tape tip working well. The good thing is you're not out a lot of money if you want to order these.

Absolutely! I’m planning to order these to have on hand for when the vinyl starts to wear. I actually did both “GR” letters as red, like you originally had it, so I’m trying to see if they seller will do that for these as well

@@DyoGTS I actually originally had only the R red as I do now but I had replaced the white G twice and didn’t have another one so I used the red G on the one side. The other side still had a white G. 🤣🤣🤣

What was the cost difference from the original vinyl inlays and the 3D ones? The vinyl one look good too, so for the money whats best?

These cost a little more, although I've seen some vinyl letters selling for close to this price, but these will hold up much better and they look 100x better in person.

I've seen vinyl letters cost $18-$50 and these are $60 but the vinyl letters also had to be replaced several times in the year I had them, so I expect this will be less expensive in the long run and much more durable.

It's not a sticker, it's a 3D bubble letter that actually takes multiple steps to make. It's a lot more time intensive than you think.
