GR® de Pays tour du Val d'Azun: 4-day wild trek in an authentic territory of the Pyrenees

The GR® de Pays tour du Val d'Azun is a trekking route located in the central Pyrenees, at the gates of the Pyrenees national park, to the west of the Hautes-Pyrénées department. This is a 4-day hiking loop, generally possible from May to November, which takes us to discover green landscapes, shaped by pastoralism, authentic mountain villages, and incredible panoramas of the valleys and the high peaks of the Pyrenees.
This mid-mountain route offers in particular to go up the Estaing valley along enchanting paths, to gain height above Arrens-Marsous to admire the peaks, to follow the GR®10 towards the Col de Saucède and the majestic Litor cirque, to cut yourself off from everything by crossing the summer pastures which lead to Lake Soum, or to admire the phenomenal view from the Col de Couret and, if you wish, from the summit of the Soum de la Pène.
The last portion, on the crest, is physical, sometimes dizzying and a little technical: If you are not comfortable with this type of difficult terrain where you have to put your hands, this passage can be bypassed by a much more difficult path. easy... And I show you everything in this video!
