Cool place 👍 I love Uncommon Places by Stephen Shore. One of my favorite photobooks.

Right now bc Japanese rooms are tiny I don't have a location to decorate books but if I do get that extra space I would definitely make a dedicated bookshelf to keep me motivated

@@RM.TokyoPhotographer XD excellent description! I am happy with my fujifilm x100v, but I confess that I really want a true pocketable camera, and the Ricoh GR's seem like best option at the moment. I just get iffy about weather sealing. True, having the 28mm with some adapter or zoom mechanism would be perfect!

@@luxdalet Theres a Reason why Daido Moriyama uses the Nikon S7000/Ricoh GR III (28mm) camera since you can get under ppls skin (dont like that wording haha) but honesty point and shoots are the most discreet cameras above all cameras since small compact and lightweight yes the battery will drain quickly but that steathy shooting stye I think there are no rivals. bc I never shot with it I cant vouch much but a known Japanese Photographer Suzuki Shin who I trust said although it uses an APS-C sensor, unlike Fujifilms APSC sensor that has a higher dynamic range the Ricoh seems to do poorly in low light unfortunatly so if you shoot mostly during the day it might be the ONE....oh my pocket is flying empty I completely forgot to mention about the Ricoh system in this video since the main part was about the shop itself but Ricoh actually has a teleconverter (GT-2) that makes the 40mm into a 75mm prime if im right (1.5x magnification) and GW-2 (0.75 magnification) making the GIII 28m lense into a 21mm... if im right they can be used vice versa? (i might be wrong...) looking at the same 49mm filter thread....

@@RM.TokyoPhotographer Wow, I definitely need to check and do more research. For sure next time I visit Japan I want to get a point and shoot. The Ricoh is among the top of the list :D
