GR131: Gran Canaria (Stage 3) | Solo Hiking Bliss And Blazing Views!

The first of my GR131 hikes. Gran Canaria is stage 3 of the 560km (348 miles) trek that takes you across all seven of the magnificent Canary Islands, west of Morocco and the Western Sahara.
With the goal of thawing my cold British bones, I undertook the Gran Canaria stage of the GR131 in April, 2023. Turns out the Canary Islands can get scorching hot. Who knew? (clearly not me). Join me as I share my experiences with solo hiking, ultralight backpacking, and the unique but rewarding challenges posed by the Gran Canaria terrain. Hi Jonno. Have watched both videos of your trip along the GR131. Nice videos of your experience. It gives other hikers who may want to walk the trail a taste of whats ahead 🥵. Hope to get there soon. You got some lovely drone footage on La Gomera. What do you use for your other (on the ground) footage ? All the best for 2024 👍

Hi Andrew, thanks so much for watching! I've just uploaded the Lanzarote stage, too, hopefully that comes in useful (kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqCconyYgtCeaZo). On Gran Canaria and La Gomera I used a Sony ZV-1 (mk1). It's an amazing camera but I've just switched to a DJI Action 4 as I wanted something a bit more robust, with a wider angle lens and better stabilisation. Enjoying it so far
