Nice work. I was surprised how low running amps where on that compressor.

Yes it is and it’s normal for that model number compressor, thanks.

Hi Nice install, I have a question. What do you use to seal your brass ports that go into the compressor. People at my company use teflon tape but sometimes it leaks.
@garretlizotte62887 ай бұрын
You can see it at the end of the video. They used Nylog (it is really good, and stays supple for a long time)

Where do you get that mounting plate that you installed on the discharge?
@JD-hr6dr2 жыл бұрын
Where did you get those hoisting mounting brackets that bolted onto the suction and discharge openings? Did those come with the new compressor?
@gr82becool2 жыл бұрын
Yes they did

What kind of oil differential were you getting on that carlyle ? I worked on one about a month ago that kept tripping on oil after the original compressor was replaced. It through me for a loop seeing that it was only at 10 psi differential. Thought for sure something was wrong but seems like they run low oil pressure.
@gr82becool2 жыл бұрын
A tech send this to me, hopefully this will help : In normal operation, the net oil pressure will vary depending on the size of the compressor, the temperature and viscosity of the oil, and the amount of clearance in the compressor bearings. Net oil pressures of 20 to 40 psi are normal, but adequate lubrication will be maintained at pressures down to 10 psi. The bypass valve is set at the factory to prevent the net pump pressure from exceeding 60 psi. 2011 Emerson Climate Technologies

Did you pull a vacuum on the compressor before putting the gas in?

How much time do you have to pull a vacuum before Poe oil is contaminated?
@gr82becool2 жыл бұрын
There’s not an exact time that I’m aware of, but you should do it quickly after you add the oil. POE absorb’s moister if left opened.

That was my original thinking. But the re-piping would be horrible. And I’m going to have to do that on another compressor below that one. It’s a Carlyle compound cooling compressor.
@tram57242 жыл бұрын
@@gr82becool gad, my condolences. We once had 3 stores with compound cooling. Each one was nothing but problems. Copeland won't warrantee on compounds
@gr82becool2 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I don’t care for Carlyle myself compared to Copeland

Why not stay with Carlyle?
@tram5724 Жыл бұрын
@@joehubbard9288 cause they don't have the reliability or the efficiency for refrigeration.
