Hey man, I had a question and I’m new to the game. With those Pedders Offset Tophats, do they allow you to adjust camber on stock struts such that you can run wider wheels but still camber bolts? Im trying to run 17x8.5+43 on 245/40R17 SX2s with stock struts, no spacers, but I wanna use camber bolts at least to -1 degree front camber. Would you suppose this is possible, assuming I include the Pedders top hats with camber bolts to achieve alignment?

pedders top hat + camber bolt give you roughly -2.3 front camber. If you want to run 245 SX2 on ET43 wheels, you probably need 10mm spacer

@@TrackandBuild appreciate the response. If i dialed in the camber only via camber plate, no camber bolts at the knuckle, would I have a shot at no rubbing? Assume camber at only like 1-2 deg? Sorry to beat you down with more theoretical questions 😅

@@emerica21321 it might be very close to the strut but I never run 245 sx2 so I can't be sure. Most people I know use 10mm spacer for better clearance

Hmmm oil pressure on hard right corners get pretty low. Is it ok since it drops for only a second and comes back up?

right hander is a major factor in the oil pressure drop in this car as far as I have observed in three different tracks. But not a critical problem if running these sx2 tires because I've done 20+ track days on them and the oil analysis result still looks good. Might have issues when going to stickier tires though

How do you record your accelerator position and brake position? If you have the insight, please make an informative video. It will be most helpful!

You can get throttle from standard OBDII and brake from CAN bus. There's already some well documented guideline on how to do it so I won't duplicate the work. github.com/timurrrr/ft86/blob/main/can_bus/gen2.md

I just noticed you were taking turn 2 on 3rd while I was going into 2nd most of the time. I deff lost time there.

and I was downshifting into 3rd on turn 6 when I should have stayed on 4th
