Can't believe he didn't mention OP weapons/Limiteds bring back the the OG Ak47, M4, Famas, Default Rifle 2013 - 2014 Basing R.I.P. The Browning Automatic Rifle back then was the peak gun of Era nowadays everyone has one. Chem was the OG most OP gun in Era for a few short days since it was not yet banned in Bases and Spar.

Bambzl mentions at 2:30 that a reason for the “bigger gangs” being “better”, is “better guns”. But I do agree that it deserves a highlight - thanks for bringing the conversation up! I personally think the OP Weapons / Limiteds are one of the, if not, THE primary thing that kills the fun for smaller (or newer) teams. Even if a gang has more skill on their side, a gang can stack the deck in their favor if they just have a couple limiteds, regardless of skill. Unfortunately, superior skill doesn’t matter when you’re going against a weapon that freezes you, allows the user to fly across the screen in a half a second, shoot faster projectiles over walls, heal the user per damage dealt, or just plain overpowered spams with high damage. And if we’re talking about a new player, forget it - with this mechanical advantage of better weapons, the added advantage of more experience, greater numbers, and/or the blackballing politics mentioned in the video - there’s very little chance in the basing experience being enjoyable for somebody new. Even if they DO grind their tails off for hours at an in-game job or drop a credit card - they still won’t be able to compete in this environment. Frankly, it’s a losing formula for all - the “winners” are rewarded with idling. I think the best solution would be gameplay modes, such as the one iMask is working on - where there is a free to play battle pass, where everybody starts with an Uzi, and levels up to earn more guns, skins, emotes, etc. (just recycle the assets already on the server) And then these items could only be used in the arena activities - have a series of random unlockables, ranging from common to rare to legendary, and have a loot box with % chance of getting one of them at milestone levels (and have them as purchasable). In this, they would be satisfying a couple things - the number problem (limit teams to 5v5 gameplay), limiteds, and people would have something to grind gameplay for. Plus, players would be getting rewarded for PLAYING the game, rather than working a tedious JOB - so it’s more engaging - and the game would still be monetized through randomized loot boxes (which doesn’t guarantee an OP gun (so it still comes with an element of chance). Lastly, this would lessen the learning curve - somebody could just start new and jump into the action, so they would be more likely to stay. If executed properly, I think this is THE way to gain more long term players, and bring more old players back.

Couldn't agree more. The biggest, most fun and main experience and feature of the game is gate keeped by boring players that can afford to spend mass amounts of time on the game. I also remember just rolling into lethal and taking it over for a while. Was fun and exciting. Now, like you said, enter a base now, 5 people afk, take the base, all of a sudden like half the server ganks you. Wish the era team would creatively change this..

​@@Bambzl. Maybe tiers? Lower hour gangs compete for specific low tier bases for little to no rewards other than hours. So once the gangs become try hard, they are elevated to the higher tier bases? Just one quick idea. Would be cool to see some kind of organised brain storming event hosted by official era staff. This would also let us know that they genuinely want the best out of their game.

The only way to have fun is changing into noob outfit but recruiting your friends that also have OP items then you raid those shift bases. Go lethal. They ping their discord, you leave. And go to another base. Then all those shifters will be on edge. Then you can go back to the original base you started with. They ping discord again 😂 just annoying them is the way

The new weapons are so OP it’s not friendly to new players. Like that gun that locks on to you is just a free hit / kill or that sword that can dash then freezes you. Unless you spend 10 years grinding or no life era you can’t come close to even competing. When before If you had bar you were in the game ready to compete.

And the funniest thing about this is you can go into a base today as a older player who played in the old days when bar was the best gun and kill almost the entire gang like your John Wick then they pull out the limiteds

Hi nice vid, what could make basing more fun/dynamic would be craftable doors by levels (metal is default for all doors, gold level 1 and is harder to destroy while diamond level 2 slightly harder) upgradable by killing x ammount of people or a special pickaxe which you get after killing and you'd have to use the pickaxe as a drill (20 kills for gold and 50 for diamond for exemple). To activate traps you would have a button on each level and the traps placed around the base which turns on for 1min or so then detroys itself so you have something to do instead of afk to make ur base stronger/deadly and only a rank would have the permission to turn the trap on while anyone in the gang could craft the doors. The purpose would be to craft ur base stronger spending some time to build it and everything would be reset everyday. To make it fair for the other gang attacking they could get some buff dmg or speed boost to their guns after killing but only the gang with most kills (ex: 25 kills for speed boost during 1min to all members and 50 kills for 2-3 dmg buff with 15min cooldown and resets to the next gang reaching those kill numbers). Only the gang holding the base (not alliances) could also benfit from those buffs but in a more defensive way like more hp and speed boost as well (70 instead of 50) so its more challenging and fun also something like this would be nice to apply to Neo or a new base since all guns are more balanced. Everything said about numbers are roughly estimations, ty for reading.

The only thing that made me quit basing was the op melees. You literally enter a door and the next thing you see is a death screen. Basing was the only thing i did and i just left the game.

Its sad that graal's end game is gatekeeped by the top gangs, this literally doesnt happen in most mmos, also i disagree when you said that it isnt the player's fault, because tbh it is, its the players that created an environment where only the top gangs are able to do these type of content by threatening other gangs with war, or simply black listing players, this is to my knowledge the only game where this has happened, in other mmos such as albion end game content isnt gatekeeped by the top guilds/alliances infact having your guild in albion join the top alliances is encouraged, not only by youtubers but also the top guilds themselves, which is why recruitment before the blackzone resets is extremely active.
