Dree Xel That’s extreme. She’s still very young, and she was probably scared of the gesture he made. For most children The finger pointing = about to get scolded, she was probably startled. On the other hand I don’t think the adults should have just gone “oops sorry eat the cookie” after hearing the whole story.
@SA_.3775 жыл бұрын
@@Lumi0215 I agree. Look at it from a kid's point of view too. He's looming over her, voice authoritarian, wagging a finger. She's very small, it should have been replaced with some toy or game as a distraction while taking it away from her.
@Kay_y5 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry but if you guys actually think that was harsh for a child, that isnt good. Calling what he did as a scolding is honestly an overstatement. I understand you're saying it could seem threatening to a child but it really isn't if they are not raised being completely sheltered. This type of thought process is what creates spoiled children. At that age kids can pick things up fast and when they realize crying can get them a quick apology and attention, they'll do it. My mom told me that when I was younger and fall I'd look at her and cry because thats what kids do. So then on whenever I fell she would look away. Thus when I looked up at her and saw she wasn't looking, I'd and get up and brush it off. It really is just a matter of not babying a child and sometimes treating them slightly more maturely and they'll grow out of that crying, spoiled, manipulative behavior. I hope I didn't come off as too confrontational.
@Lumi02155 жыл бұрын
Kay No I agree with you. I was merely stating that from a child’s POV the pointing finger (and I don’t think I used the word threatened) would have probably startled her. It wouldn’t be unusual if the “pointing finger = about to get scolded” and whether kids know that they deserve it or not, they’ll cry. I think Seungi was right, and that he didn’t handle it incorrectly (though I do believe the other adults did.) but it’s also understandable from the child’s standpoint as well. It just turned out unfortunate it all. Probably would have ended better if the other kids didn’t claim that he was scolding her or made her cry, and if the adults hadn’t immediately gone to coddle, consoling is one thing, coddling is another imo.

He’s taking care of her and if he felt like he needed to reprehend her, he should. If you let a child just do whatever they please, you better believe me, nothing good will come out of it. He had a calm tone and was smiling while talking to the little girl. As someone said previously, it’s possible the child is pampered way too much at home. Also, the fact that he’s a “stranger” to the little girl doesn’t matter in the slightest. I’m currently doing an internship with children her age and when i scold the kids none of them get shocked or cry like she did. Why? Because they get discipline and scolded when they need to.

For me, it's better let lee seunggi handle her till she stop crying(talk and coax) when she started crying. That way she knows that eating lunch is more important than eating cookies, so then she can control in the future. And the most important is so she knows uncle has good intention. This is from my experience as elementary teacher for 10 years. I met many kids with different characters and backgrounds and I always take care same group of kids for at least 5 years. So when to teach them I need to be firm. This is because when other adult said like "why you mad at her" "you shouldn't angry at her" when we know what Lee seunggi done is right (only asking and trying to talk to her). It's like giving green light, it's ok to do it often(skipping breakfast & lunch) and seems what Lee seunggi aim to say or teach is not right in this small kid's perspective. But don't get me wrong it's only applicable if we are teaching good thing but for harming, harassing, insulting for sure other adult should step in.
@fendy23665 жыл бұрын
That's what i thought too cause if the others get into it than the kids would never know what seung gi really mean and all they know it's just seung gi the one who's wrong cause got mad at them .. well maybe because the others member never had any experience so that's why they react that way but they should know that wrong cause it could made the kids think that they are right .. sorry for my bad english .. hope you still understand what i mean .. hehehehehe

Further agreed! I studied early education and during my placements if a child ever cried over such things, the educators would firmly tell them "proper lunch or tea is priority". we were taught to emphasise the benefits of healthy eating or a balanced diet, and the children could only have a treat if they finished their food.

She knew that it was a misunderstanding, but the other adults ruined this by meddling into a matter that was not meant for them to handle.. @@mochiraquel everyone started gathering around him, like he did some thing wrong so obviously he can't stay strict. Also, it's the parents job to discipline their kids and if an outsider starts scolding their kids, most parents won't approve of this, especially from a babysitter, they'll probably just lose their job when the kid cries and complain to their parents.
@mochiraquel5 жыл бұрын
@@menace2819 And i totally understand he couldn't stay strict because of everyone gathering around him, but their behavior towards the situation at hand wasn't really the best. Of course it's the parents job to discipline their kid. Where did you see me state otherwise? But a babysitter, a teacher or even a helper also play a big role on educating the children. They learn from everyone around them, not just their parents. If you're paying someone to take care of your kid all day they WILL and they SHALL scold them when they deem necessary. And by scolding i don't mean anything harsh, obviously, but simply letting the child know what they did was wrong is something that will influence positivitely their personality.

At the beginning of the ep, she was already feeling upset from before and didn't even eat breakfast which I think was because it was the last day there, and all the kids who knew that were sad as they had to say goodbye. You can see that she wasn't actually crying just because she was scolded as when Seung gi knelt down, she even hugged him cuz wanted to be comforted. The other members obviously didn't know this and yeah, they should have trusted Seung gi more😂. Yi Han tattle tailing on Seung gi was so cute though😂😂

He was absolutely right she won’t eat later if she picks between meals and he had noticed she’d barely eaten breakfast, the other grownups shouldn’t have intervened as he was handling the situation well, he certainly didn’t scold her , she has to learn. He will make a great father.

she going to be very spoil when she grows up if they keep trying her like a little baby. He just asked her a question (it wasn't even in a harsh way) and she started crying.

@Wangpuppiie5 жыл бұрын
Qaqa Azam smart kids will understand even more how to control situations from a young age. Speaking from experience they can be polite but then bc you’re used to them being that way that when they do act up they’ll know how to put on a show to get what they want in the end. I’m not saying that’s how she is bc I wouldn’t know but things like this are usually how kids learn what they have control over
@victoriawilliams90905 жыл бұрын
@@An-cg2fp yes I watched the show, but there are moments like this that would lead a kid to becoming spoil and their parents won't be able to control her/him in the future. She'll get what she wants when she cries......
