WIth she being in a wheelchair, mostly keeping herself indoors, how could it be? Whoever it is, seems to be observing Mercedes constantly. So unless Mercedes` phone is being tapped and bugged (and when would Grace have had access to it so she could have managed that?), I think we must be looking for someone walking on his own two feet - and who also lives in the same house (and who is stupid enough to leave such a compromising phone in the sofa). I think it has to be Jesse, and that what he is onto is not the hit and run, but Mercedes` affair with Jesse`s own brother. His goal I presume to be to break up Mercedes and Liam, without risking a confrontation with Liam in person as a result.

@@marian3nene45 I don`t know? I find it more believable that she is suspicious of Liam, after everything that emerged in - and after - the confrontation with James and Harry. But how could she suspect Mercedes was involved...? And the affair, how could she have learned about that? Mercedes only visits Liam in the club. To get up to it, Grace would have needed someone to carry her. No, sorry, but I am not too sold on this development at all. If not Grace was so suspicious of Liam she had arranged it so she could bug his phone, that way learned about the affair with Mercedes - and also that Mercedes was involved in the hit and run. But why then send threatening texts to Mercedes? That is so not Grace. She would either have confronted Mercedes directly and gotten the whole story, she would have taken revenge - or she would have set some kind of trap for Mercedes. Either to expose her and her caught and punished, to humiliate her ot to have a hold on her - so she had made Mercedes her slave.Sending silly text messages is not something someone like Grace would have done. In her eyes that would have been too weak and pathetic. Grace would have wanted to get to the facts of what had happened when she was run down, as fast as possible, or she would have exerted some form of severe and harsh revenge quickly and without warning. Remember how impatient she was to get get Eva Falco, and revenge for Esther`s hospitalization and brain injury, after Eva had shot Esther by accident, cause Grace and O.B. stormed in to save the Osbornes? She wouldn`t have been more patient finding out who had lost her the ability to walk.

hollyoaks has gone to shit, the character development is either non exist or makes no sense, like they keep rebooting a mercedes cheating storyline every few years for new viewers but it just becomes unrealistic at this point like how was she addicted to coke but gives up on it whenever she feels like and feels guilty about grace but only when its relevant to the storyline
