Hi Alice, nice to see you here. Grace sings to us old timers. When she was very young her parents would play the legends of the 60'and 70's for her and she grew up with them and has a natural appreciation and ear for how greats like Elvis, Dylan, Guthrie, Joplin, Joni Mitchell and Carole King felt the music deeply and were able to project that to the listener. It's the reason she has a legion of older admiring followers, she takes us back to a better time when music was real and delivered with heartfelt real emotion And NOBODY has ever done it better than our Grace! She is a National Treasure! Check out this epic performance: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZnPf5KEls14bNk. Watch her emerge from a trans at the end!

As to bring the voice into the light i see the song as a girl searching for Christ. Angels inside protecting her mind. She sees music as a saviour of sorts. And is a gracefilled girl, shell.make it out and not get sucked in like Taylor swift. By 15 grace been to kenya qith hearing aides. Graduates put through colledge as well . Im almost offended one compares her to the kardasians. She has a mind and lihgt. They have love of self. Big difference.

Your emotion is really good and your songs show a real understanding of complex emotional issues. You draw me in and I watch your music videos everyday. I'm 39 but I'm terminally ill and I have chosen your song 'so much more than this' for my funeral. I chose it because I have had to celebrate small accomplishments and not get weighed down in things that really don't matter. Eight years ago I was given two years to live and I'm still here fighting this illness each day. Listening to your music makes me so happy so I thank you for giving me something else to focus on other than pain. I really love your unique voice. I hope your life is full of you doing what inspires you. Xx

Jaymee Torres LOL JAYMEE AAHHHHAHAA and cute profile picture. Romans 8:31-39 New Living Translation (NLT) Nothing Can Separate Us from God’s Love. .... “Nothing Can Separate Us from God’s Love 31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? 33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one-for God himself has given us right standing with himself. 34 Who then will condemn us? No one-for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. 35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”[a]) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below-indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

I watched a very young Grace audition for Americas Got Talent, and knew right away she was something special. Her voice is so raw and real that it impacts upon the heart and soul. I watched her go all the way to the end and win it. She definitely deserved that win, and I'm glad to see that she kept that rawness in her voice and delivery. She's amazing and there is no one like her.

Grace has a better understanding of what's important in life than most her age, and many adults. She often writes and sings about serious topics in a way that focuses the listeners attention on the meaning, the emotion and the melody, and we forget how young she is. If her age is any barrier to people embracing her music and accepting her musical genius, then it's their loss. Grace's vision of what music can be is exactly what's missing from "popular music" today, and her musical journey is already inspiring millions. If we can all support and encourage her, and she continues on this journey, music and the world will be the better for it. I can see many more "bright sun shinny days" in Grace's future. I can't wait to see what comes next!
@SuperPalaver6 жыл бұрын
Everyone seems to expect Grace to write to her peer group, but she's consistently transcends that, and I believe it throws many off because they're trying to make her work fit their expectations.

She will definitely inspire a demanding change in the new pop music in America and I hope in the world. The singers will no longer be able to sing silly and meaningless songs.
@ralfrecknagel47606 жыл бұрын
Francia Lucero Ruiz - a demanding change in world music, not limited to countries or music styles. Perhaps the uninspired entertainment industry will orientate itsself on the incredible way how Grace reaches people with her amazing music. Grace has all possibilities and is still underestimated.
@SuperPalaver6 жыл бұрын
Trevor Ravencroft It's a mental thing I meant as a general concept. Using past history of the stuff the typical teen pop tarts have produced when young (Think Mandy Moore way back when), Grace addressing topics such as bullying and mental health in her music are obviously a departure from the vapid mainstream teen boyfriend angst rubbish. Don't take every comment so literally. Remember there still are more people who don't know Grace and her music than who do, and the first thing they're going to key on is her age, and set expectations accordingly - at least until they know better. New listeners wouldn't be nearly as awed by her if she were doing typical, instantly forgettable music. The fact she manages to blow away even her long time fans who do know what kind of music she's capable of makes it pretty clear she's exceeding even their expectations.

Dear Coolbreeze Productions, I had to respond to your comment. I'm not a very religious person either, in fact, all my life I've been rather cold and jaded. Not mean to people but just indifferent to them. Just watching the news and seeing the world get shitter and shitter over the last 40 years is enough for a person to lose all hope for mankind. That's where I was a few years ago when just by chance I watched this little girl walk onto a stage with a ukulele, on a tv show I've never watched in my life. Week after week I watched and I found myself smiling and my heart starting to feel hope again. I told myself " this little girl is going to change the world" and you know what? She changed me. You are right This is different somehow

She did write the lyrics to the song, along with the music studio writers that helped her. The song is rewritten from the OLD, 1972 song by Johnny Nash, but the new CLEARLY is not the same lyrics as the original Only a couple of lines, but the majority is new. The melody sounds more or less the same, but, this song "clearly" stands on its own. BTW, Johnny Nash gave permission to GRACE and company to rewrite it. In any case, both songs are fantastic.

I see a lot of comments regarding the "age" of the lyrical content. Grace is clearly more mature than most 14 yr olds. She is unique, and her talent is far exceeding that of 98% of the music currently out there. As she grows, her music will as well. Watch her career, and hopefully the She maintains her composure, not losing herself like we see with the often compared to, Taylor Swift( a fine musician in her own, but being brought down by the industry). I am thankful for what she has done so far, hoping to see much more. Keep up the sunshine Grace, you are truly amazing.

I'm pretty sure she's the only young artist that doesn't make cringey music about boys or sleep overs and how we are all perfect and stay super positive. And her voice filed with a shit ton of autotune. Mad respect for Grace 👌

Moonlight is in that area sort of. Have you listened to all of her music?
@KeziahG6 жыл бұрын
not really, that song is about a friend of hers who was experiencing mental health problems. I'm sure she may have some songs about boys though, but that isn't a bad thing :-)

*LYRICS* there’s a world outside my door i don’t know it anymore i’m gonna stay here now, i’m gonna stay here now close the curtains cut the lights match the darkness in my mind it’s gonna take me down, it’s gonna take me down all the roads i’ve been before same mistakes always got me shakin’ and all the signs i’ve once ignored in my denial i didn’t want to face them i can see clearly now the rain has gone i accept all the things that i cannot change gone are the dark clouds the dawn has come it’s gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day there’s a world outside my door i force my feet down to the floor i’m gonna make it out, i’m gonna make it out take a breath and say a prayer find the strength in my dispair it’s not gonna take me down, it’s not gonna take me down all the roads i’ve been before same mistakes always got me shakin’ and all the signs i’ve once ignored in my denial i didn’t want to face them i can see clearly now the rain has gone i accept all the things that i cannot change gone are the dark clouds the dawn has come it’s gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day it’s gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day all the pain in my sorrow won’t change today only ruin tomorrow oh, oh all the pain in my sorrow won’t change today only ruin tomorrow i can see clearly now the rain has gone i accept all the things that i cannot change gone are the dark clouds the dawn has come it’s gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day it’s gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day.. About 30 seconds from the end, I realized tears were rolling down my face. But in a good way. She is stunning! It seems to me that God looked at our world and pondered, "how can I help in some way?" And he put her here. And everytime I listen to her music, the world sucks a little less.

Grace it is we who are blessed, thank you for being such a inspiration to your generation, it’s true it takes many people to bring our dreams to fruition, your parents and sister lay the stepping stones making sure your feet were steady in all walks of life, you are a credit to their guidance sweet Grace, a shining artist bright like a twinkle star. I’ve listened to this song for years countless times but never with such passion bringing me to tears 🌟 XX

I keep playing this song over and over again, when Grace sings it its powerful and brings bake memories that were hidden so deep, now having moving on its a great reminder for me things do change and we move on in ways we never thought possible. I’d like to know how this song touches other people ❤️ our hearts are stronger then we think when we learn to speak to our self in a positive way, we can turn the light back on in any situation giving a brilliant glow that we neglect to see under a veil sadnesses. Believe you can and you will, mind over matter truly is a real thing ♥️ xx
