If our service or obedience is based upon immediate gratification, we may be setting ourselves up for discouragement. Jesus does not always take the easy path, and He warned His followers to consider that before they started (Luke 14:25-33). When we have already counted the cost of discipleship, we have more strength to face the battles ahead. We are not so easily discouraged when things don’t go our way because we know the battle is the Lord’s (1 Samuel 17:47). Discouragement can be a warning light suggesting to us that we have lost our primary focus. When we feel discouraged, it helps to get alone with the Lord and allow Him to examine our hearts and our motives (Psalm 139:23). Often, it is pride, greed, or covetousness that is feeding our discouragement. A sense of entitlement can worm its way into our hearts and highlight the discrepancy between what we have and what we believe we are owed. When we recognize that attitude as sin, we can repent, humble ourselves, and let the Holy Spirit readjust our expectations. When we use discouragement as a reminder that our priorities have become skewed, the feeling of discouragement can become a refining tool to make us more like Jesus (see Romans 8:29).

In the case of the Rapture, Jesus says , "I don't know you" to the Bride outside the shut door because they lost their Salt and their Light, and need more refinement. They will be left for their second chance to be refined. To gain back their Salt. To gain back their Light. The reality? Half of the church is not ready and will be left behind to go thru the Tribulation! So many Christians want their own gospel. They want to hear what tickles their ears. However, we can't ignore the parable of the Bride. ALL ARE ALIKE. THEY ARE ALL CHRISTIANS. SOME ARE LACKING. SOME ARE NOT. How are they lacking? They have lost their Light? How? Sinful choices. Holding to the dross which is the sin they want to cling to. They have lost their saltiness and are only worth being trampled. Trampled where? The Tribulation. God's second chance! I got an answer from the Lord during a quiet, worshipful time, when I was led to ask, " Who is the Restrainer?" He said, "Salt of the Earth." (I both heard it and saw it) The Believer walking in the power of the Holy Spirit is taken out. Those down trodden by sin will be left for more refinement as they cannot enter the Kingom of HEAVEN ...notice entering the kingdom of God is a person saved. Entering the kingdom of Heaven is when you are right with Him and ready to leave this World whether in death or the rapture.

@mauer62 Salvation is very different than God having an obligation to Rapture out a Bride who is holding on to her dross (the sin they want to cling to). That is the reason for the 10 Bride or Virgins. All ARE Believers in Jesus. One has oil full, been refined, and the other never let God refine them. So they get a second chance ...the Tribulation. The Restrainer is the Salt of the Earth. Only those Believers who have not lost their salt get to go. Those who lost their salt are only worth being trampled ...the Tribulation. It is Salvation thru grace, not Rapture thru grace.

I trust in God and keep faith even as I struggle to take care of my children and myself. As a single mother things are so hard on me. Both of my sons are autistic I’m overwhelmed. God please hear my prayers. Father God I’m so tired of constantly struggling to buy groceries and constantly struggling to pay rent. I’m so ashamed and overwhelmed so please be kind.
